Chapter Text
Chapter 1
The dim lights made Kagome’s head ache as she slowly began to open her eyes. And the sound of two young people arguing did not help to ease her pain.
“Where is the captain? He should be here by now.”
“Well that’s just how he is, he’s never on time.” a man said with a chuckle.
“Now is not an okay time for him to be late, not with our lives on the line like this.”
Kagome tried to pull her hands up to her face when she realized they were bound.
“If it’ll ease your worry my dear Sango, I will go on to the deck and wait for him.”
The young woman growled.
Kagome began to panic. She looked around to see she was in some sort of small dingy, wooden room. Not to mention it smelt of rotted fish.
She began to look for the source of the young woman’s voice. To her left wooden boxes, to her right wooden boxes. In front of her… more wooden boxes. Wait! She saw the silhouette of the woman in what seemed to be a doorway. She would make note of that, in case she needed to escape. What had that man called her? My dear, Saki? No, that wasn’t right. Sango.
“Hey, you! Yeah you! Sango!”
*****
Sango had not wanted to participate in this mission, but the captain and his first mate had insisted she take part.
Sango was a somewhat moral young lady. Well as moral as a pirate could really be. When she heard her ‘higher ups’ whispering about attempting a kidnapping she was definitely skeptical. There was only one main goal in her career as a pirate and it was to take down one specific captain not to kidnap a teenager. She was willing to fight other pirates and maybe even steal a little bit, but was this too far?
“Come on Sangooo, please?” The first mate was not very convincing, but maybe it had been because his hand was on her butt.
SLAP
“Miroku, I don’t think touching Sango like that is going to convince her to join us” The captain said with his dark eyebrows and furry ears twitching, “besides if she’s too good for this she doesn’t have to help.”
Sango rolled her eyes and the two idiotic men she had somehow ended up following.
*****
“Hey, you! Yeah you! Sango!”
Sango turned around, surprised to be hearing her name. Dammit, she’s already awake.
“I know you can hear me! Come fight me coward” The teenager fought against the ropes, with what seemed to be every ounce of her strength.
Damn you Miroku. Sango walked past the boxes and over to the girl and stood beside her, careful not to stand on her long skirt or flailing limbs.
Sango sighed heavily as she slumped onto the floor.
“Who are you?! Get away from me! Wait no, don’t get away from me, untie me!”
Sango chuckled. She probably shouldn’t be laughing; she did just kidnap someone. Eh, that’s a moral debate for future Sango, current Sango needs to calm down Lady Higurashi.
“Woah there calm down Miss Higurashi.”
BANG
That was the last thing Miss Higurashi heard before she drifted off into another deep sleep.
