Daryl wasn't used to The whole "physical contact" Thing. Sure he had given hugs and such to his close friends and family. But other then that it was all a bit strange to him. But all the small touches and hugs he got from Connie, Made it feel right.
It was sunny day today. The sun was almost blinding. It was a good day for scavenging. Him and carol had planned to go out that day.
As much as Daryl loved the kids, He needed a break. Especially from Judith's nonstop questions about him and Connie.
He felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Morning cowboy" Connie signed with a smile.
"morning" Daryl signed back. He felt his face get hot.
"What's the plan for today?" Connie asked.
"Me and carol are going out for a run" Daryl signed,
His signing had gotten a lot better, He had read the little handbook over a dozen times.and he had been watching the lessons Kelly had been giving to the kids.
"We should be back In a couple days" Daryl signed.
"Okay, Be safe" Connie signed, She smiled softly as she lifted her hands to his face.
She pulled him closer and they kissed.
Daryl pulled back and smiled at Her.
She winked at him and turned to find her sister.
Daryl watched as she left.
He felt something in his chest that had never really felt before.
Love, sure he loved people, But this was different.
she was different.
Today was a good day.
