Chapter 5: Chapter 5

Notes:

Hello, I just want to apologize for the lack of updates. The truth is, I’m going through a bit of a tough time right now. I’m starting a new chapter in my life, and it hasn’t been easy. I’m constantly tired and have no energy. Updates may be slower from now on, but I don’t plan on abandoning the story. I also deeply apologize for the lack of quality in this chapter; it’s unfinished and unedited. I’m really sorry.

Chapter Text

Apoo grumbled, visibly annoyed. “I don’t understand why Kidd is so in love with that omega. With those spots, he looks like a cow.”

“You should be more careful with what you say, Apoo,” Drake warned him. “Don’t forget that your tongue has already gotten you into trouble before.” They were both walking toward the club, having decided to leave Kidd alone with his thoughts.

“I’m just saying I don’t see what he sees in him,” insisted Apoo, still frustrated.

“Yes, well, it’s a shame about the Donquixote money,” commented Drake, glancing sideways at Apoo.

“What do you mean?” Apoo asked, his curiosity piqued.

“The Donquixotes are a very important family,” Drake explained with a sigh, noticing that Apoo hadn’t grasped the magnitude of what he was saying. “Their noble title was granted by the king himself several decades ago. They have an enormous amount of money. It’s incredible how disgustingly rich Doflamingo is.”

Apoo raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Then, it’s really a shame… The person who marries that spotted omega could become rich.”

“Yes, they could,” Drake agreed. “But considering he’ll probably marry Kidd, I doubt the fortune will matter to him. Don’t forget that Kidd is still a prince.”

“Yes… very rich,” murmured Apoo as the gears in his mind began to turn. The idea of becoming as wealthy as Doflamingo was extremely tempting.

Drake, noticing the expression on Apoo’s face, added seriously, “Don’t even think about trying anything, Apoo. Kidd wouldn’t hesitate to destroy anyone who dares to get between him and Law.”

Apoo let out a short, carefree laugh. “Relax, Drake. I’m just talking. But thanks for the advice.”

Drake wasn’t convinced but let the comment slide. As they continued on their way, the greed still shone in Apoo’s eyes as he began to outline possible plans in his mind, though he kept his true intentions to himself.

In the Donquixote residence, Law woke up feeling strange. His throat hurt, and his eyes were dry, as if he’d been crying in his sleep. He looked toward the window and sighed. It was still early, but he knew that Bepo would be arriving at any moment to start the day. The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, but instead of feeling renewed, Law only felt an inexplicable emptiness in his chest.

“Good morning,” Bepo greeted as he entered the room with his usual smile. However, that smile quickly faded when he saw Law’s face. “I guess it’s not such a good morning, huh?”

“Mmm,” was all Law murmured as he lay back on his pillow, his moody expression drawing a soft laugh from Bepo.

“Come on, up you go. Let’s get you dressed,” Bepo encouraged, coming closer to help Law get out of bed. Though Law resisted, he eventually relented, letting Bepo help him start his day. Despite the heaviness he felt, the warmth and dedication of his friend brought him a small comfort, helping him face another day.

In the end, Law found himself awkwardly pacing in the sitting room, supposedly waiting for someone to come and court him. The mere thought made him sigh; after all, he’d already chased off his only suitor. Most likely, Kidd wouldn’t want to see him ever again.

“I want to die,” Law muttered as he sat on the piano bench. The young man, marked by his spots, played with a single key, making its sound echo through the room like a constant reminder of the thoughts that tormented him.

“Oh my god, Law! Don’t say that,” Bepo exclaimed, worried. Law sighed, stopping his random key presses, and instead began to play a real song. The melody that flowed from the piano filled the room, wrapping both of them in a moment of calm, even if it was only superficial.

Bepo watched Law with a nostalgic smile on his face. Law had always been talented, almost too much for his own good. Ever since he was a child, his insatiable curiosity and love for learning had led him to excel in everything he did. But now, as his fingers moved across the piano keys, that spark that made him so special seemed dimmed, replaced by a melancholy that permeated each note.

The sound of the piano filled the room with a soft, sad melody, as if Law were playing his own lament. Though concerned, Bepo couldn’t help but admire his young master’s skill. However, something in the air changed, a new presence that made Bepo tense up.

He felt someone approaching, and with a quick glance at the door, he saw the imposing figure of a red-haired prince. Kidd, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and an expression that mixed determination with an uncommon vulnerability, stood there, frozen as if afraid to move forward.

The melody was abruptly interrupted when Law looked up and saw Kidd standing in the doorway. The room, which moments before had been filled with Law’s music, fell into a heavy silence. The echo of the last note still hung in the air, as if even the piano knew that something important was about to happen.

Kidd, normally full of confidence and audacity, seemed like a completely different man at that moment. His shoulders were slightly slumped, and his eyes, which always gleamed with defiance, now reflected a mix of regret and longing. The bouquet of flowers he held seemed almost like a shield, a peace offering he knew could be rejected.

Law froze, his hands still resting on the piano keys. His heart pounded in his chest, though his face remained impassive. Emotions swirled within him: surprise, confusion, a spark of hope, and above all, a deep fear that this was just an illusion, a dream that would end in even more pain.

Finally, Kidd took a step forward, breaking the silence’s spell. His voice, though low, carried the full weight of his feelings. "Law... I... I'm sorry," he said, his tone filled with a raw sincerity that made the air feel heavier. "I know I made a mistake. But I can’t go on without trying to fix it."

Law blinked, unable to fully process what he was hearing. He looked at Kidd, his gray eyes catching every detail of the prince before him: the flowers, the slightly trembling lips, and that damn puppy-dog face that, despite everything, still managed to stir something inside him.

"Why... are you here?" Law finally asked, his voice barely more than a whisper. There was no anger in his tone, only a deep sadness mixed with disbelief.

Kidd swallowed, searching for the right words. "Because... I can’t let you go. I can’t stand the idea of losing you over something as stupid as my pride. I want to make things right, I want to show you that I trust you, that I respect you, and... that I love you."

The silence fell over them again, heavier than before. Law looked at him, his mind torn between hope and fear. Kidd's words echoed in his head, but the pain of their last confrontation was still fresh, like a wound that hadn't healed.

Bepo, who had been watching everything from a corner, sensed the tension in the air. He wanted to say something, anything to ease the situation, but he knew this moment wasn’t his. It was a moment between Law and Kidd, and what happened next would define their future.

Finally, Law rose slowly from the piano, his fingers brushing the keys one last time before letting silence take over the room completely. He took a step toward Kidd, his gaze fixed on the flowers he held, as if they were a symbol of everything that had gone wrong and everything that could still be made right.

"And what if you fail again?" Law asked, his voice now firm, though his eyes revealed the fear behind the question. He didn’t want to suffer again, didn’t want to open his heart only to have it shattered once more.

Kidd took another step toward him, closing the distance between them. "I can’t promise you that I won’t make mistakes," he admitted, his tone humble and filled with vulnerability. "But I promise that I’ll try, again and again, until I get it right. Because you are the most important thing to me, Law."

Law felt his defenses begin to crumble. There was something in the way Kidd looked at him, in the honesty of his words, that made him want to believe him. He wanted to push him away, to protect himself, but his feet stayed rooted in place.

"Fine." With a deep sigh, Law took the flowers from Kidd’s hands. "It won’t be easy," he said, his tone softening, though still laced with warning. "But... I’m willing to try, if you are."

Kidd let out a sigh of relief, his face lighting up with a genuine smile. "Thank you, Law," he said sincerely, not hiding the emotion in his voice.

The two of them stayed there, looking into each other's eyes, while the silence in the room transformed from something heavy and oppressive to a bridge of mutual understanding. The tension that had been between them began to dissipate, replaced by a new hope, fragile but real.

Bepo, in his corner, couldn’t help but smile. Maybe, just maybe, things were going to get better after all.

"You know, my brother’s coming to visit," Kidd said, catching Law’s attention. "I’d like for you and him to meet."

Those words filled Law’s heart with excitement. "I’d like that very much, Your Highness."

Kidd stepped a little closer to Law, his voice low and soft, charged with an intimacy that made the air between them seem to vibrate. "My aunt is organizing a masquerade ball," he began, his tone conspiratorial, as if he were sharing a secret only with him. "She hasn’t told anyone yet, but I wanted to invite you personally."

With a warm smile, Kidd pulled a delicate invitation from his pocket, adorned with golden details and his family’s seal. Without saying anything else, he offered it to Law, but before he could fully withdraw it, his fingers brushed against Law’s, and Kidd took the opportunity to gently take his hand. Slowly, his lips grazed Law’s knuckles in a soft kiss, filled with tenderness and promises.

"Your family is the first to receive an invitation," Kidd whispered, his intense gaze anchored in Law’s eyes, as if with that gesture he wanted to seal something much deeper. "I hope to see you there."

The silence that followed was almost palpable, a sweet and electric tension that enveloped them. Law, surprised by the sudden show of affection, felt heat rise to his face, his heart beating wildly in his ears.

Before Law could respond, Kidd smiled sweetly, that rare and sincere smile that made him look more vulnerable. "If you’ll excuse me, I have some things to resolve before my brother arrives. I’ll see you later, alright?"

With that, Kidd released Law’s hand with a gentle caress, and as he walked away, the room was left with the warm energy he’d left behind. Law watched him go, a silly smile spread across his lips and his heart pounding wildly.

Law blushed even more, remembering the gentle kiss Kidd had left on his hand before leaving. A warm feeling washed over him, something he hadn’t felt in a long time. Everything that had happened in the last few minutes felt surreal, like he was living a dream he didn’t want to wake up from.

"Wow, that was cheesy," Bepo said, breaking the silence and the bubble of emotions surrounding Law.

"Shut up, Bepo," Law muttered, but he couldn’t stop the small smile forming on his lips. His cheeks were completely red, and although he tried to hide it, it was evident that he was happy, happier than he’d been in a long time.

Bepo, laughing, walked over and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "You deserve it, Law. I knew Kidd would come back for you. He’s crazy about you, even if he’s a stubborn fool."

Law looked down, unwilling to admit out loud what he was beginning to feel. "I don’t know, Bepo... This still feels too good to be true. What if everything falls apart again?"

Bepo looked at him seriously for a moment, then smiled confidently. "You have to trust what you feel. And what he’s willing to do for you. Sometimes, the things that seem the most fragile end up being stronger than we imagine."

Law remained silent, reflecting on Bepo's words as he looked at the invitation once again. Maybe... just maybe, things could be different this time.

“Killer!” Kidd grinned from ear to ear as he saw his older brother approaching.

"Kidd, it’s been a while," Killer replied with a smile before they embraced tightly, as if those two months apart had been an eternity.

“Don’t ever leave me for so long again,” Kidd said in a dramatic tone, hugging his brother like he never wanted to let him go.

“It was only two months, little brother,” Killer replied with a soft laugh as he broke away from the hug, giving him a pat on the shoulder.

"Yeah, what a touching reunion," Penguin interrupted with an amused air as he stepped down from the carriage. "But maybe you could help the omegas with the luggage, huh?" he added, raising an eyebrow at Kidd, clearly enjoying the moment.

Kidd rolled his eyes, but in that instant, his eyes widened as he saw Shachi, another omega, carefully stepping down from the carriage. What truly surprised him was the fact that Shachi was visibly pregnant. The redhead was holding his belly with one hand while Penguin helped him down with a smile.

“What…? Shachi? Are you pregnant?” Kidd exclaimed, his voice showing a mix of astonishment and confusion.

Shachi smiled with a calmness that seemed to brighten the surroundings. “Yes, I am,” he replied serenely. “Surprise.”

“Who’s the father?” Kidd asked with curiosity.

“An idiot.” And that was enough for Kidd to know he didn’t need to ask more.

Kidd blinked, still processing the information, while Killer watched the scene with a smile on his lips. “Yeah, it’s quite a surprise. But you should have seen him before. When Penguin told me, I was just as shocked.”

Penguin laughed, giving Shachi’s shoulder a light tap with affection. “It took him some time to say it. But here we are, all ready for the ball. Isn’t it exciting?”

“Yes, actually it is. I have someone very important to introduce you to at the ball.”

Killer looked at him curiously, raising an eyebrow. “Someone important? Who?”

Penguin grinned, “Oh, please tell me it’s an omega!”

Kidd smiled widely, thinking of the omega who had been on his mind for days. “You’ll see. But I’ll tell you this much—it’s a very special omega.”

Killer looked at his brother with a mix of curiosity and amusement. “A special omega, huh? Now I’m even more intrigued.”

Penguin, who had been busy helping Shachi get settled, turned toward Kidd with a mischievous smile. “Please tell me it’s someone worth it. Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for just another omega.”

Kidd let out a laugh, looking at his brother and Penguin with complicity. “This one’s different. Not like the other omegas. Strong, reserved... and there’s just something I can’t ignore. His name is Trafalgar-Donquixote Law.”

“Hm.”

It was night, and the stars shone faintly through the open window, letting in the cool evening breeze. In the room, Law was getting ready in front of the mirror, adjusting the collar of his elegant outfit for the masquerade ball. He looked nervous, though he tried to hide it with precise and controlled movements. His thoughts drifted again and again to the expectations of the event, and especially, to the idea of seeing Kidd again.

Behind him, two pairs of curious eyes watched him with fascination. Ace and Sabo, only ten years old, were sitting on Law’s bed, cross-legged, watching him as if he were part of a show. The boys had been with him all day, insisting on staying to watch him get ready. Ace had been particularly insistent, suggesting that if Law was going to something so important, he couldn’t go alone.

“Why are you so nervous, Law?” Ace asked with a mischievous smile. “It’s just a ball, right?”

Sabo, more observant, tilted his head with an expression of amused suspicion. “Surely it’s not just because of the ball, right? I bet it has something to do with that red-haired prince.”

Law, blushing, let out a sigh, trying not to pay attention to the kids' comments. “It has nothing to do with that,” he muttered, adjusting the mask that rested on the dresser. But the way his hands trembled as he touched the fine fabric betrayed him.

“Ha! Yeah, right, we knew it,” Ace exclaimed, nudging Sabo, who nodded with a knowing smile.

“It’s just…” Law sighed, surrendering to the curious gaze of the two boys. “It’s important. Not just because of the ball or Kidd… it’s an opportunity for me and my family. And… well, yes, maybe a little bit because of Kidd too,” he admitted with a shy smile, causing the boys to chuckle softly.

Ace, always the most impulsive, jumped off the bed and ran over to Law. “Don’t worry! You’re going to look amazing, and the prince is going to faint when he sees you.”

Ace, always impulsive, jumped off the bed and ran over to Law. "Don't worry! You'll look amazing, and the prince will faint when he sees you," he said with a confident smile, waving his arms with enthusiasm.

"Yeah, and we'll be watching over you at the ball," added Sabo, calmer but equally excited, with a serene smile on his face. "You have nothing to worry about."

Law, still adjusting the last details of his outfit, couldn’t help but smile at the warmth and support from the kids. "Thanks, guys. But now you both also need to get ready to go," he told them, pointing at the time and the mess in their clothes.

Ace rolled his eyes but finally obeyed, raising his arms so they could help him get dressed. "Fine, fine… I'm going."

As they helped him put on his little suit, Law mentioned something he knew would stir Ace’s composure. "Especially since the Newgate family will be there." The mention of the Newgates made Ace pause, his face instantly turning as red as a tomato, his cheeks completely flushed.

Sabo, always quick to catch any chance to tease, didn’t miss the opportunity and said playfully, "Ace likes Marco."

Law let out a small laugh, watching as Ace squirmed nervously while quickly adjusting his bow tie. It was an open secret that Ace had a little crush on Marco, the first son of the Newgate family, and while it was probably something that would fade over time, for now, it was an endless source of jokes between them.

"Shut up, Sabo!" Ace protested, his voice coming out higher-pitched than he wanted, as his blush only deepened. Sabo, for his part, shrugged, smiling mischievously. "I'm just telling the truth."

Law just smiled as he watched the two of them. Somehow, the nervousness he’d felt about the ball eased with the children’s company, as if those little jokes and their innocent energy made everything seem more manageable.

Law was left speechless upon arriving at the ballroom. Before stepping out of the carriage, he carefully placed the mask on his face and got out alongside Ace and Sabo, who couldn’t stop talking excitedly.

"Wow, it’s huge!" Sabo exclaimed as his eyes took in the vast and sparkling ballroom. Ace nodded in agreement, following his brother as they ran to the center of the room. However, Law stopped at the entrance, swallowing and feeling a mix of nerves and anticipation.

"Nervous?" His father, Doflamingo's, voice pulled him out of his thoughts.

"Just a little, Dad," Law admitted, casting a glance at his father and his uncle Corazón, who looked at him with reassuring smiles. "But I’ll be fine."

"Of course you will, you always are," said Doflamingo, placing a hand on his shoulder affectionately.

They entered the ballroom together, and Law couldn’t help but admire the place, with its high ceilings adorned with dazzling chandeliers and walls covered in golden tapestries. The atmosphere was full of elegance, music, and the soft sound of conversations. Everything was dazzling, almost like a dream.

"Look, Doffy, there’s ice cream!" exclaimed Corazón as he quickly headed toward the dessert table. Doflamingo sighed, a mix of resignation and fondness on his face.

"I’m going to keep an eye on my brother," Doflamingo said, his tone softer than usual. "Be careful, Law, you know the rules."

"Yes, Dad, don’t worry," Law replied with a slight smile. Before leaving, Doflamingo gently touched his son’s cheek with tenderness, a rare but affectionate gesture, and then left to find his distracted brother.

Kidd watched as the ballroom filled with people, scanning the crowd in search of Law. He knew that, to many, his omega wouldn’t be considered the most attractive due to the vitiligo patches on his skin. But to Kidd, those marks only highlighted his strength, making him even more special.

"Your aunt always shines at the dances," Apoo said with a glass of wine in his hand, breaking the thread of Kidd’s thoughts.

"Apoo, I'm glad to see you could make it," Kidd replied, smiling sincerely as he saw his friend.

"Yeah..." Apoo paused, his tone more serious than usual. "There's something I wanted to tell you, Kidd."

Kidd looked at him, frowning. "What’s going on?"

Apoo took a sip from his glass and, with a sly smile, said, "I've been thinking about courting Trafalgar Law."

Kidd’s smile faded, replaced by an expression of disbelief. "Law? Why?"

"It’s simple," Apoo continued, with a cold, calculating look. "His family, the Donquixote, have money and influence. Even with his... unique appearance, I can’t deny the value he holds. If I court him and win his favor, I’ll be in a very good position."

The comment about Law’s appearance ignited Kidd’s fury. He clenched his fists, feeling the anger bubble inside him. "Are you saying you’re only interested because of his family’s money? Have you stopped to think about what Law feels, rather than what he can give you?"

Apoo shrugged, with an arrogant smile. "Come on, Kidd. Don’t get sentimental. He’s an omega, he’s not in a position to turn down a good offer, especially with how others see him. I’m not the only one who thinks this way, I’m just honest about it."

Kidd felt his chest tighten with rage, but also with a deep need to protect Law. He knew how cruel comments about his skin affected Law, and hearing Apoo treat him like an object only made him want to hit him right there.

"I’m a prince, which makes me a better candidate than you."

Apoo laughed mockingly, "We’ll see, Your Highness."

"Listen to me, Apoo," Kidd said in a low voice, but one full of threat. "If you think you can get close to Law just because of his name or money, you’re very wrong. I’m not going to let you play with him."

Apoo let out a hearty laugh, as if Kidd’s warning were a joke. "Relax, Kidd. I’m just kidding... but we’ll see. Don’t underestimate the power of money and connections, even for someone like Law. May the best man win."

Kidd watched him walk away, his anger boiling his blood. To him, Law was more than the spots on his skin or the wealth of his family. He wasn’t going to let anyone reduce him to that.

~♡~

Law decided it was time to look for Kidd, but while admiring the beauty of the hall, his attention briefly shifted, and without meaning to, he bumped into someone.

"I’m so sorry," he said quickly, feeling a pang of embarrassment. When he looked up, he found himself face to face with a group of elegantly dressed omegas, all looking at him with disdain.

"Watch where you’re going, freak," the omega he had bumped into spat, her eyes full of contempt. "Are you the omega the prince is courting?" Her tone was laced with mockery.

"I-I... yes, that’s me," Law replied, noticing how the group of omegas burst into small but hurtful giggles, making sure they weren’t loud enough to draw attention but loud enough for him to hear.

Law’s heart raced, his insecurity starting to grow. Even though he knew he had the right to be there, those looks and comments made him feel out of place, like he didn’t belong in that world of glitz and perfection.

The cruel words from the omegas pierced Law like needles, each mocking comment making his heart beat faster, not with excitement, but with shame. The omega he had bumped into looked at him with disdain, as if his mere presence were an offense.

"Hey, what you have on your skin isn’t contagious, right?" Her tone was sharp, with contempt disguised as false concern.

"Gross! The freak touched you, it’s sure to leave you with white spots like him," another added, drawing muffled laughter from the others.

Law felt his face flush with embarrassment, even beneath the mask he was wearing. He couldn’t help but lower his gaze, wanting to disappear. "No, vitiligo isn’t contagious," he murmured, his voice barely a whisper as he clenched his hands tightly.

He knew that the spots on his skin didn’t change who he was, but in that moment, shame and insecurity consumed him from the inside. He felt like all eyes in the room were on him, even though that wasn’t true. The shine and glamour of the hall no longer dazzled him; instead, it made him feel even more out of place.

As the omegas continued with their giggles, Law wondered if he should have stayed home, away from all of this.

"Look, freak, if anything happens to my skin, I swear—"

"Calm down, sweetheart, he already told you vitiligo isn’t contagious," interrupted a new, firm voice. Law looked up, surprised, to see another omega who had approached. He was different from the others, with a calm but defiant attitude. "Now leave him alone."

The omega Law had bumped into made a face, annoyed, but said nothing more. "Shh, shh," added the newcomer with a light, almost playful smile. The girls walked away, visibly offended, murmuring among themselves but too intimidated to retort. Law felt a small sense of relief when the giggling faded.

A small laugh escaped his lips, more out of surprise than relief, and then he looked at the omega who had intervened. "You’re Trafalgar, right?"

"Y-yes, I’m Law Trafalgar," he replied, still a little overwhelmed by the situation.

"Great, I’m Penguin." Law’s eyes widened in surprise. It was impossible not to recognize that name.

"Are you the omega of Prince Killer?" he asked, astonished.

Penguin nodded with a smile, tilting his head slightly. "That’s right. Though I don’t like being known just for that. But it seems like you’ve also become famous because of your relationship with Prince Kidd."

Law smiled shyly, still somewhat nervous about everything that had happened, but grateful for the unexpected support. "I guess so... though sometimes I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing."

"Do you want to do something fun?" asked Penguin with a mischievous smile, his eyes sparkling with a playful glint.

Law, still a little unsure, hesitated before nodding slowly. He was used to being more reserved, but after the initial discomfort, he was curious about what Penguin had in mind.

"Let's go then!" Penguin said cheerfully. "I'm going to introduce you to my friend Shachi. I’m sure you’ll like him."

With that, Penguin grabbed him by the arm and led him through the bustling hall, navigating around the nobles and soldiers chatting under the golden lights of the place. Although Law still felt the weight of some gazes on him, Penguin's company made everything seem less overwhelming.

They reached a quieter room in the hall where a young man with red hair, a little shorter than Penguin, was sitting in an elegant chair. "Penguin! About time!" he exclaimed, standing up from his chair, and that was when Law noticed he was pregnant. "And who’s this? The famous Trafalgar?" he asked, eyeing him up and down, but with a much warmer gaze than the critical eyes of the omegas earlier.

"Shachi, this is Law," Penguin said, leaning toward Law and whispering, "I told you he’d be a good guy."

"A pleasure to meet you, Law," said Shachi, extending his hand with a smile. "Don’t worry, we’re not as serious as the rest of the boring ones. Come on, make yourself comfortable."

Law couldn’t help but feel curious as he observed Shachi, knowing it was rude to stare, but the tenderness of his pregnant belly had him captivated. The image of an omega like Shachi, relaxed and friendly, contrasted completely with the coldness he had felt upon entering the hall.

"Everything okay?" asked Shachi with a warm smile, noticing Law's gaze but not seeming offended. "Never seen a pregnant omega before?"

Law, feeling a little embarrassed for being caught staring, quickly shook his head. "No, sorry... It's just that, I didn’t expect it. You look... really good."

Here is the translation:

Shachi let out a small laugh. "Thanks. Sometimes it's weird for me too, but Penguin takes good care of me. So don’t worry, feel free to ask anything. I don't mind."

Penguin nodded, looking at Shachi with a loving smile. "Yeah, you know, he's the only one who has to put up with my nonsense all the time."

Law felt a little more relaxed seeing the dynamic between the two. Even though he’d never imagined himself in such a situation, it was nice to see how they supported each other so naturally.

"And you, Law? How's everything with Prince Kidd?" Shachi asked, giving him a knowing look as he settled into the chair. "I've heard some things..."

Law blushed as he remembered Kidd’s kind words and sweet gestures. "It’s... going well, I think. It’s complicated, but we’re trying."

"Trying?" Penguin raised an eyebrow. "Hasn’t he already tried to win you over with all those flowers and gestures? Kidd’s not exactly subtle."

Shachi nodded, amused. "That sounds very much like him. But it's fine, the important thing is that you feel comfortable."

Law gave a shy smile, finally feeling at ease. "Yeah, I feel good... although sometimes it all feels a bit overwhelming."

"I get it," Shachi said, rubbing his belly with one hand. "But having someone by your side who supports you makes all the difference. If Kidd is willing to be with you, don’t doubt it too much. Just trust your feelings."

Shachi's warmth and kindness made Law feel less out of place, as if he had finally found someone to share his insecurities with. Maybe, this dance wouldn’t be so bad after all.

"Who’s your husband, Shachi?"

"Oh, I don’t have a husband, dear."

"But you’re pregnant," Law looked at him curiously.

"You don’t need to be married to get pregnant." Law’s face was still full of confusion, causing both omegas to laugh.

"Sometimes I forget how innocent noble omegas can be."

"Leave him alone, Shachi."

"You were the same before Killer."

Doflamingo was looking around for his brother, lost in the crowd of the ball, when suddenly he felt a tug on his tie. At first, he frowned, annoyed by the interruption, but his expression quickly changed to one of astonishment.

In front of him, in all her glory, was **Lady Crocodile**. She was wearing an elegant black dress that highlighted her imposing figure, with a green scarf around her neck, a touch that emphasized her dominant presence.

"Going somewhere, handsome?" she asked with a mischievous smile, still holding Doflamingo's tie between her fingers.

Doflamingo, always the calculating man, couldn’t help but smile, softening his attitude. "Lady Crocodile," he replied with a slight bow of his head. "Is there something I can help you with?"

Lady Crocodile looked him up and down, her smile barely changing. "Maybe... or maybe I just enjoy seeing you so... tense."
