(Sora's POV)
Me and Lloyd run after Cole, Nya, and Jay as they go run to see if everyone's alright.
"Okay, let's never do that again." Kai says looking out from the massive hole caused by hitting the rock.
I tune out the past ninja talking about some message and how it could've been worse and I turn my attention towards Lloyd, he seems worried?
Right as I was about to question if he was okay Master Wu walks right beside us and speaks loudly.
"Not exactly. I managed to make an imprint." Wu says as he points towards ink on a wall.
{Huh a symbol that looks like spinjitzu, a sword...I think, and a cracked skull. Wait wasn't that the message on Wu's staff? Oh oh wait they gave Morro the staff that's what they were talking about. WAIT MORRO HAS THE STAFF!?}
I hide my sudden panic from my realization as Jay asks a question, "But what does it all mean?"
"My father told me long ago that he would leave a message, leading me to his final resting place." Wu says answering Jays question but adding on, "After he passed, I looked everywhere for it, not knowing it was in my hand all this time."
"You mean to tell us—" Wu cuts off Kai's question, "Yes. These symbols will lead us to the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master."
While talking Master Wu gets a rope and slides off it onto the ground, shortly after followed by Kai, Cole, Zane, Jay, Nya, then me and Lloyd.
Wu continues to walk, "Only problem is, I haven't the foggiest idea what any of them mean."
"Well if Morro is trying to find the Tomb, we gotta find it first." Kai says voice full of determination.
Cole's face lights up as if he has an idea, "Hey, maybe Misako can help us decipher the clues since she's a total history buff."
Zane lifts up his arm to a...FALCON and asks, "Pixal, release the falcon and give her our location."
{And then the falcon flies off, cool I guess totally not weird he just has a FALCON.}
"Good, then we set up camp." Master Wu says watching the bird take off.
"Woah woah, what about these two?" Jay says referring to me and Lloyd.
"Yeah Sensei what about them?" Kai asks sending a glare towards us for no reason.
{Looks like Kai doesn't trust us.}
"That is up to them, they seem to have held up pretty well against Morro." Master Wu says while walking to find a nice spot to set up camp.
"How would you know...?" I ask confused as we were on different levels of the now impaled flying ship.
He lets out a small chuckle, "Your here with barely any scratches aren't you?"
"We literally brought 'L' here for his bad headache." Kai says looking sceptical of Lloyds name.
Lloyd quickly finds words knowing this is our chance to team up and possibly find a way home, "I-it's better now and since we have nothing better to do—we can help!"
{Way to play it cool Lloyd-}
Everyone stands there quiet.
It's awkward and Lloyd scratches the back of his neck and Nya (standing behind Lloyd) has a look of disbelief on her face but she quickly hides her expression before anyone—or she thought anyone could tell.
After what felt like an hour of silence Master Wu hums, "Very well you can help us with this mission, could you remind us of your names again? To make sure we get them right."
"Oh I'm Sora." I say a little shocked they let us help so easily.
"I just go by L." Lloyd says trying to hide any hint of deceit on his face.
- - The camp is set up - -
{Geez it got dark fast, and FINALLY I can rest, this has been a confusing day}
"Care to hear a ghost story?" Wu asks everyone sitting around the campfire Kai set up as no one else wanted to attempt one.
"If it means saving Lloyd, of course." Zane says genuinely caring about Lloyd.
{Awh, they all really cared for each other}
"Master Wu if allowed—could I please speak to Sora and uhm...'L' in private please?" Nya asks shifting positions as if getting ready to stand up.
Wu thinks for a second but eventually gives a nod of approval and she guides us to behind a tree where the rest of the ninjas and a Sensei couldn't hear us.
Nya sighs and asks blunt and fast, "Alright spill the truth."
"What truth?" Lloyd asks keeping his voice straight.
Nya crosses her arms across her chest and motions her head towards Lloyds hands, "The scars, or whatever they would be called. Lloyd has the exact ones and they aren't exactly common."
Lloyd makes a slight motion to cover them, "I don't know what you're talking about, you mean my veins?"
"Uh huh...gold veins?" Nya snaps back.
Nya uncrosses her arms and reaches for Lloyd's arms but he slips his hands from his sides to behind his back.
"If you aren't hiding anything, let me see your arms." Nya says keeping her arms extended.
Lloyd hesitates but keeps his hands behind his back, "No, I must just have a scratch and the lighting of the campfire made it look gold."
Nya groans and pulls her arms back, "Look just come clean, or else I might tell the ninjas and Wu that you're not trustworthy."
Lloyd hesitates again but lifts his hands from behind his back revealing 1 gold mark running along each hand, almost like veins.
{I've actually never payed attention to those, wait how the hell would he have gold scars?}
Nya stands there jaw dropped
She finds the composure to say a shaky sentence, "L-Lloyd's exact scars..."
"Didn't you already say that?" I ask since she repeated herself.
She ignores my comment.
Nya lightly rolls up Lloyd's sleeves to reveal that they stretch farther too, all the way up his arm.
"So—uhm care to explain?" Nya asks looking up at Lloyd confused and apparently no longer shocked.
"If I explain, please keep it to yourself." Lloyd replies rolling his sleeves down and returning his hands to his side.
Nya nods and sits there waiting for the story.
"So I am Lloyd or at least from the future, me and Sora are from the future. We got dragged through a...portal and it brought us here but the reason we kept it a secret is because I'm not sure if it's the past—my past, or an alternate timeline." Lloyd explains.
Nya stands there mouth agape.
"So can we go back to the camp or...?" I ask getting tired of just standing here as I really just want to go rest.
"One last thing, 'L' how did you get those scars—marks whatever." Nya says just wanting to make sure it was the real deal.
Lloyd sighs but replies, "When the Overlord came back for the second time to drain me of my golden power so he could try and take over ninjago for the second time."
"Okay you're definitely Lloyd—this is really weird and confusing." Nya says sighing.
"You're telling me." I respond to Nya's comment speaking for both me and Lloyd.
"Don't worry your secret is safe with me, now let's get back before the others get suspicious." Nya starts walking while making that final comment.
I follow her and Lloyd follows not far behind me being more cautious with his hands now.
Master Wu sees us return, "Welcome back, I will start the story now."
"Oh you didn't need to wait." Lloyd says as he sits down near me hands away from the fire.
"Well now you'll know who we're dealing with." Master Wu responds with a sort of sad tone in his voice.
- - After the ghost story - -
"I am saddened he was banished to the Cursed Realm. But what worries me more is that he escaped, for what reason?" Wu says wrapping up the story, "To save Lloyd and return your powers, you must find the tomb before he does. Or else."
"Or else what?" Jay asks voice shaking.
"Unspeakable power will curse us all." Master Wu says stern knowing he means it.
"Ha ha, just another day in Ninjago, am I right?" Jay adds trying to lighten the mood.
"This is different. Lloyd is at stake." Kai replies to Jays not so lifting comment.
"But how can we compete against the Green Ninja? He's more powerful than all four of us combined." Cole asks not wanting to fight a friend.
"That was before we lost our powers." Zane says looking towards Cole.
"But it's like Sensei said. Our real power doesn't come from our hands, it comes from inside here." Kai responds putting his hand on his heart, "This is Lloyd we're talking about. This is one mission we cannot fail."
{Lloyds been quiet, I mean he is learning Ophir worried they were about him when he was gone so.}
Wu stands up walking towards our makeshift beds, "Time for bed, you'll need your rest for tomorrow."
{FINALLY SLEEP! I dont even care Lloyd hasn't told me what's happening since I just heard some of it so I guess I'll figure it out along the way}
We all head towards our bed to rest marking the end of a tiring and confusing day for us all.
