Karamatsu was right... Your feeder didn't plan on stopping from asking you for a bracelet like you have. It was so annoying you made him, Ichi, and Totty one too. But only yours and your guardians' pattern was the same. the rest had a different one. Totty actually asked about the origin of the patterns and made notes what you told him. "my dad had many tattoos covering his scars from hunting." You proudly told all amazing stories about your father, Totty made a special notebook for your stories and he even allowed you to draw patterns and things you couldn't describe like fish and shells and other sea creatures. Recently you got new fish friends and some softer sea plants. Before you could live with them they tested if you don't have allergies for them because they weren't exactly from your original living area. All the fish were amazingly colorful and unlike the ones you had from almost beginning they were lively you were so happy about it you called Kara with a button. "Give me your bracelet I have something to touch it up with."After he gave you his bracelet, he looked curious when you turned around with his bracelet making few changes. "Tadaaa!" You turned around showing colorful scale attached to one end of a bracelet. "It's actually mine! It fell out by itself so I thought why not?" You lied about the origins of the scale, its one of those you ripped out while stressed about telling him how you feel but you swat the thoughts away. "I was thinking how it looks under a different type of lightning, thank you it beautiful." There was a dust of a blush on his cheeks and you blushed too because he said your scales were beautiful. "Thank you but I got bad news, I can't visit you after closing time like usual, I need to finish few reports, sorry." he scratched back of his neck feeling guilty it was almost a routine he came in the morning and evening to see you. "No problem, work hard we will see each other tomorrow!" You smiled at him, both thumbs up to cheering on him. "Thanks again for the revamped version of the bracelet, I will treasure it." He patted your head before leaving.
It was right after closing time when Totty came in looking around if anybody was there except you. You came to see him, it wasn't weird that he came but his suspicious behavior was very unusual. "Totty? Are you ok?" He nodded and started talking "I'm here to ask you if you maybe want to take a walk?" You tilted your head in confusion. "Do you mean in that tank on wheels Osomatsu made for me? Don't you remember I broke it a little from the last walk and it leaks?" He shook his head. "No no I mean walk on your own, like legs I know you can do it I have some clothes for you and we could go for a walk much later, kara already went home and after Ichi finishes it will be empty." He pulled out a dress from his bag. Your eye wide, unable to answer him. "Uhh... I don't know if I should, it doesn't feel right." You were scared that somebody sees you and will tell your friends you are a fake mermaid. "Don't worry I got you covered we won't walk too far away so its nothing bad its gonna be fun I promise. I got some desserts and I'm sure the dress will fit you perfectly." He put a towel on your head drying your damp hair. You looked at him worried but excited. why not? it sounds so new and you wanted to see if you still could walk after so long. "Alright, totty I'm going for a night walk with you and it's not a date." He laughs at your comment.
After few minutes of drying off you transform to human and change into the dress given by him he even got you some underwear, you blush but he turned around as you put your clothes on. "Totty I can't stand up pick me up." You put out your hands in his direction. He effortlessly helps you up, supporting you as you wobble on your feet. It took you more than ten minutes before you could walk without his help. You see him note few things in his notebook and you roll your eyes, this was the real reason he wanted to walk with you but he offered pudding and you actually wanted to eat that. You walk out with him, touching everything you couldn't for so long. You shivered as your bare feet touched cool grass in a picnic area that's where sometimes bunnies are kept for kids to touch. But it was just some grass and few trees now after the closing of the zoo. You see Totty put a blanket on the ground. "What are you doing?" You look at him confused. You barely walked and he wants to sit already? Is he sick? "Let's have a picnic and we need to talk." He smiled showing you desserts that he took out from his bag. You sit down with your pudding and a spoon. "I'm going straight to the point, Kara asked me if it's possible to take you out of here with something like fake documents. It took me by surprise but I need to talk with you before I can tell him anything. There are laws for half humans, they don't allow them being in captivity if they look human enough. What I'm trying to say you don't have to be here and if you say one word I will get you out of here. I told Kara that I can't do anything if you don't agree to be ready for this talk with him. That would be great opportunity to tell him everything." When he finished you just dropped your head. Everything... but if he asked about the possibility of you being free means he wants you to be happy or maybe he wants to be with you? Even if he thinks you are a mermaid. Your hopeful thinking was interrupted by a hand waving in front of your face. "Hello? Tell me what you think about it and we need to go back soon. I need to wake up early like always." You rolled your eyes. You agreed to Totty making your documents in the meanwhile you are supposed to talk with Kara about everything. You talked some more while finishing third pudding. After he walked you back and you instantly fell asleep when your body sunk to the bottom of your tank, touching your own tail think about all things that happened when you came here.
