Chapter Text
The morning went by pretty normally. Fritz came over to help out with the babies while Michael and Jeremy unpacked. They were currently unpacking stuff for the backyard, so Fritz sat outside with the babies to make sure Jeremy didn't drop anything, he had a tendency to do that.
The babies were doing what they normally do, Leo was trying his best to explore, but Fritz always kept an eye on him to make sure he didn't go too far. Milo was trying to eat the grass while Eliza was picking the dandelions out of the grass to add to her ever growing collection. Charlie was asleep on a small blanket that was placed on the ground for her.
Jeremy took a moment to explore the greenhouse, it was slightly overgrown but with a bit of effort, it could look good as new! There were plenty of berries growing, as well as an overgrown tomato vine.
“How could someone leave this place! It only needs a little elbow grease and it's good as new!” Jeremy announced, Michael walked in behind Jeremy to have a look. “Well, you aren't lying. The question is will we have time to fix it up?” Michael faced Jeremy, “I'm sure we’ll find time!” Jeremy smiled.
While they were talking, Fritz had gotten a facetime from his wife Shelly, and was currently introducing her to the babies. “And this one is Leo” Fritz picked up Leo and placed him in his lap to stop him from running off, “so many of them! Look at them, so cute!” Shelly exclaimed.
“I can't believe they just found these kids! But I guess as long as they're safe now, it's alright! Isn't it?” she questioned to herself. Fritz nodded, “yeah, it's alright for now.” they continued to chat, while the babies were still doing their own things, eating grass in Milo's case.
Eliza had finally picked out all the dandelions around her and was now looking for something to do. Since Fritz was distracted, Eliza crawled towards the blanket on the ground and sat next to Charlie. She shook Charlie’s arm a bit to wake her up, which worked as Charlie soon shifted before sitting up straight, rubbing her eyes to adjust to the light.
Eliza signaled for Charlie to follow her as she crawled towards her pile of dandelions. Once they both reached the pile, Eliza handed Charlie a handful of the flowers, partially being crushed due to Eliza’s manhandling but they were mostly ok.
Charlie accepted the flowers, placing the dandelions in front of her, then picked one up and placed it on Eliza's head. Eliza tried to look and reach the flower but couldn't.
“Oh my goodness! That's so cute!!” Shelly’s voice rang through the backyard, getting the two’s attention. Michael and Jeremy had moved back to where Fritz was sitting, they were both holding both Milo and Leo respectively. Fritz was holding his phone at an angle to show shelly what was happening, and Shelly was awestruck.
Eliza started shaking her head to try and get the flower off, but it wouldn't move. Charlie leaned over and grabbed the dandelion off her head for her. Eliza looked back at Charlie and smiled, Charlie smiled back, that was met with more aww's from the adults.
Michael had taken a video of their little interaction and planned on sending it to everyone later on, they later brought everyone inside as it was starting to get cold out. Shelly now planned to visit later to meet the babies, so Fritz was going to leave later to pick her up.
