Summary
The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Grians heart was beating out of his chest, beating against their rips.
He was there.
He was alive and well and sitting across the table from them intact.
He was laughing and making jokes with Impulse and Pearl like he wasn't choking on his own blood just last night.

.Grian works at a library, restocking shelves and signing out books. His late nights are fulled with friends and horrible horror movies.
Other mornings are fulled cooking, the smell of cooking meat fulling up the apartment with songs on in the background. Late nights are spent watching gory dark web videos or hunting out on the streets looking for a meal.
All in all, Grians just a normal guy, living his life just how anyone else would. It definitely doesn't eat people or have a strange, unnatural interest in gore and blood. Hes just like anyone else, just like any other guy who works at a library and hangs out with friends.

Summary
Scar slowly opens the door just a crack and peeks into it. There in the room, on his pink princess sheets lays Grian, fast asleep. He's surrounded by his plushies while one, a large bear Scar had won for him at a festival, is tucked into his side. Scar chuckles, admiring his boy for a moment, his slack face as he sleeps, one hand curled around the plushie while the other lays near his face.
Eventually he approaches, carefully opening the door enough for him to slip inside and then closing the door slowly enough that the click isn't loud. He still pauses a moment after, watching Grian, and relaxes as the boy doesn't wake.
He walks up to him and, after watching for a moment, gaze tracking over his sleeping face, he starts to pull the sheets away. Grian shifts a little, but doesn't wake, and Scar smiles as he realizes the bear plushie is also between his legs. Seems his little boy couldn't help himself before falling asleep that night. Cute.

The soul bond mechanic in Double Life comes along with an interesting side effect that Grian fails to mention, leaving Etho feeling dizzy within a day of the game starting. Joel seems perfectly content to use it to his advantage and Etho can't bring himself to care.

SmallEtho in the Double Life setting where the soul bond doesn't just make them share pain but also pleasure. Plot generally follows Session 1 and Session 2 with some rearranging of events and conversations to make the plot flow a bit better. I wrote this in the span of 6 hours without a break and ended up with almost 12k words that is almost completely smut. Seriously, there's like one scene of actual plot, so make of that what you will.

Grian sinks down onto Scar, head lolling back a little as his hole is breached.
Scar moans and bucks his hips, a few more inches slipping in. Grian’s wings flare in surprise and he glares at Scar, lifting himself up. Scar groans at the loss. “No, Grian, please, I’m sorry --”
“Stay,” Grian insists, “or else I’ll leave you here with nothing. Got that?”
Scar frantically nods, and Grian hums. He repositions himself and slides down, only a few inches before he rises again. His thighs shake, but with Scar’s hands tied, he can’t help.
It’s slow going, Grian teasing Scar as much as he can. He knows what Scar wants, knows he wants nothing more than to pin him to the bed and force Grian to take him, fast and mercilessly, but he also knows he’s tied up and can’t.
It’s an addicting feeling, knowing he’s in charge of Scar’s pleasure. He moves slowly, and Scar can do nothing but take it, unable to go faster or move.

“I’m here, aren’t I?” He moves past Scar, settling into the couch and looking at Scar with an expression he can’t identify. It sends a shudder down his back.

Summary
Scar loves teaching. He’s so grateful that each day, he gets to go and talk about something he’s enjoyed for years. And he loves seeing his students get excited about it, too. They ask interesting questions and many come up to talk to him after class or in his office hours.
None of them hold a candle to Grian, though.
He’s clearly passionate about the subject, and the two often talk after class for long enough that Scar’s pretty sure Grian’s been late for his next class more than once. He’d never admit it to anyone, but he finds himself looking forward to the class ending or his office hours just so he can talk to Grian.
It’s a bit of a problem, really. He has to remind himself more than he should that Grian is a student and undoubtedly much younger than him. And then Grian laughs at something he’s said, and all he can think about is how he wants more.
