Logically, it’s probably because there was some black mold or some shit somewhere in the bathroom, but the place was cheap and he needed to save money. So obviously he could live with it. Surely it wasn’t the end of the world to breathe in some mold?
Well, apparently, to his body it was and now he’s sick and fucking miserable with Wilbur fucking Soot’s dad watching over him. Being sick would’ve been fine, Tommy can handle being sick if he were alone. Being sick and being fussed over? That’s weird, and new, and very, very different.
