Fushiguro furrows his brows. “So… you got a poster of Sasuke instead? From Naruto?”
“Mhm!” Yuuji nods aggressively. “Love Sasuke. Can’t get enough of him! I just adore the whole show. And the manga! Such a huge fan! I really enjoy the, uh, extended metaphor about cycles of hate and generational trauma. I eat that stuff up! I just don’t own any of the manga. Or the merch. So, uh-” Yuuji gestures wildly behind him. “- Poster.” he finishes awkwardly.
“... Gotcha.” Fushiguro replies slowly.
Yuuji replaces his bikini model pin-up with a poster of Sasuke from Naruto. Which could mean nothing.

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.
So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

“I do,” are words that feel like ashes, coating his tongue with the bitter taste of decay. With two words, he throws away any freedom he has left. There wasn’t much to begin with; he was bought and paid for, after all.
“I do,” Yuuji echoes back to him. The prince’s face looks pale as he says it, as though he feels like a prisoner to their marriage as well.
Megumi can almost imagine a set of iron bars between them as Yuuji leans in to seal their fates with a polite kiss.

Itadori thinks about how Fushiguro drinks ginger tea every night before bed while he reads. Thinks about how his face considerably brightens when Itadori places his pickled ginger slices onto Fushiguro’s plate whenever they go out for sushi, how he always writes ginger into their grocery list. Thinks about how he always requests ginger rice when Itadori says he’ll cook takikomi gohan, adorably hovering by the kitchen extremely conspicuously and asking if he can “taste test” every five minutes, to which Itadori always obliges out of sheer endearment –
“…Eh, just a hunch,” Itadori quips.

Summary
Fushiguro puts a hand to Yuuji’s forehead. To check for a fever. Obviously.
“You feel hot.”
“I feel hot?” Yuuji balks, “No — you’re hot — feel hot — I’m — What? I —”
“That’s enough,” Fushiguro interrupts.
Is it just Yuuji or does Fushiguro look a little flushed too? But that can’t be right. When he was touching him just now his hands felt so icy.
Oh god, he’s starting to hallucinate. It’s never been this bad before. He didn’t even know heat stroke could cause hallucinations.
“I’m taking him to Ieiri.”
Fushiguro heaves him up to standing and threads an arm around his waist. The difference in temperature between Fushiguro’s cold skin and Yuuji’s overheated skin is disorienting. Yuuji puts his arm around Fushiguro’s shoulder. To make it easier for him to help support Yuuji’s weight. Obviously.
As the two of them stumble towards the infirmary, Yuuji hears what sounds like Kugisaki laughing under her breath. He glances back to see if that was real or not, but her mouth is firmly pressed into a smirk.
He’s probably just imagining things again.
OR yuuji learns that heat stroke & a crush on your best friend have a lot of the same symptoms

Summary
Wasuke's eyes flickered between the two of them, as though searching for an unseen connection to prove their relationship status. Though after a brief pause, they seemed to soften around the edges. It was the barest hint of acceptance, the slightest trace of fondness in bright hazel eyes, an expression that Megumi would have missed had he blinked for even a second.
“He’s scrawny. Looks like he’d lose a fight against a gust of wind.”
The casual insult was the last thing Megumi would have expected as a response, though he supposed it was better than being called a slur.
