Thank you so much for commenting I was getting such bad anxiety with these chapters (I'm super fucking ace so I label all my shit as not smut and I was so so worried that this had some kind of subtext to it that I just didn't know) and I literally came back to delete whichever chapters didn't have comments on them and then to see your comment omg it was so appreciated (இ﹏இ`｡)
Aside from that~ Initially I was planning on like, total opposite effect on Dazai? He was gonna be comforted by Mami cuddling him (cuz gyotdamn, he is so SAD) and then as I was writing Dazai kicked me in the teeth and said "No," and, like, I can't argue with him??? T.T My chars control the plot, I just write it down DX
Mami was interesting to write. Normally I like direct comfort like, idk ig overt comfort? But I wanted Mami to seem almost mean. She doesn't hurt him but also like, she doesn't sing him to sleep or anything. She helps and is quietly kind, but it's a tough kind of love? It's what tough love should be ig. But yea I had to focus to not ooc her cuz I kept veering off track.
I do mention him coming back to himself once he's with a new god in a fic I'm working on. (Trying to make some comfort since this was several chapters of pain ;3)
