    This is about my 3rd time reading this fic and I decided I really needed to comment because I love so much about it! Esp in this chapter, I immediately noticed how your writing keeps with canon (esp philosophers stone) really well, with that sort of slightly irreverent nonchalant tone jk Rowling used so well. It's something I missed in a lot of other fanfic but didn't realize how much I missed it until I read this!

      Desire's Rose

      Rowling's beautiful mix of humor and horror is something that's hard to capture but when you do, it's just <3<3<3

      I mean, just for an example, Harry crouching outside a window to listen to the news at the Dursleys in canon. And they ask him why he'd want to listen to the news again and he says, "Well, it changes every day, you see."

      And is that just not perfect? Wit in the face of stupidity and malice. ^_^
