    oH GOSH.
    This is so in-character it scares me. /Zeref/ scares me.

    This is a chapter I had to read twice to fully get, but it makes so much sense after the second read.
    "There was a time, once – a time that felt like eons ago – when he had prolonged the pain of someone he loved. Not for the pitfall of a misplaced confidence, but because he was desperate, and selfish, and more than anything, he wanted them to live." is my favorite quote of the chapter because, in all its context, holds so much weight in it.
