    Have to call "spoilers" on your first two sentences.

    Nick's background (and this is the stuff that is just 'on record', that Bogo and some others know about) has come out of a combination of things, mainly family stories of a relative and his "questionable" activities from the 1920s to the early 1950s, and a book I picked up a few weeks back titled "100 Deadly Skills" by Clint Emerson (this book deals with clandestine activities in urban environments. There's a second one, same title, that deals with outdoor survival in a number of non-urban environments.). The first little chapter in that book, titled "Anatomy of a Violent Nomad" makes interesting, for me, reading in its own right.

    As to Judy's finding out any amount of this, I have to call "spoilers" on that one, as well.
