Comment on The Gravel Road

  1. Oh I don't think Loki just hates them for no reason. I think there are just too many reasons for his dislike and just wanting them if not gone but at least away from Thor (and let's be honest - to be friends with the crown prince was a dream of any youth).
I personally believe that because those 4 liked Thor, they wanted to divide the brothers so not to spend even a moment in the company of Thors younger brother, who was an opposite of Thor. More sceptical, more quiet, more thoughtful. They didn't know how to bend him to their views so they started to dislike him, even openly oppose him and then outright mock him with Thors oblivious permission (because the oaf thought it was all in jest, when in truth not).
And what I never liked is that those 4 never acknowledged Loki's princely position. Thors yes, but Loki's - they conveniently ignored. It's all about disrespect imho.
That's why in my canon Loki never forgives them. Just becomes indifferent. Because in the end, they could think themselves heroic warriors, but who cares. Definitely not Loki.
And Sif is just the worst. I think she and Loki would have been the best of friends. But Thor comes first of course.
Sorry if I oppose your views ;)

    1. Your headcanons are fine, you don't have to share mine! :) However, I don't know many authors that appreciate comments like these. They come off as deliberately contrary. Sometimes it's best to share your interpretations with fans who will better relate to them. Thanks!
