I grew up watching the original Powerpuff Girls, and holy shit this was powerfully soul-crushing (in a good way). The girls being superpowered child soldiers is a very interesting and definitely Nolan-like concept. You did an amazing job capturing Bubbles' mental trauma as well as a darker take on Blossom's leadership role among the girls. Looks like Professor Utonium (or his analogue) kept his fatherly qualities in this fic, which is good because the girls definitely need that. I'm pretty curious about who this Purple Man character is, because I don't remember seeing someone with that description in the original PPG rogue's gallery.
I'm guessing Elodie is this fic's equivalent of Princess Morebucks (except she might not even become a villain)? I remember her origin story being something along the lines of buying/commissioning gadgets to imitate the girls' powers because she was jealous of them. Would something like that happen?
