Comment on As We Roll Down This Unfamiliar Road

  1. Are these your actual thoughts about what happened in civil war? And are you completely anti-Rogers like Peter and Tony are? I’d love to have a conversation about the different parties, their sides, and their faults/strengths if you’re interested. It seems like a lot of people see the Siberian scene as black and white but it’s a lot grayer and both sides are very justifiable in their own ways with their own faults. HMU if you want to chat

    1. No, I'm not anti-Rogers, I know that it wasn't all his fault. I believe that both sides and all the players had their own reasons for why they fought for the side they did, though some are more to blame for the fight than others. The Civil war mostly happened because they just couldn't sit down and actually talk to each other without Ross whispering in their ears.

As for Siberia, like I said I don't hate Steve at all, I can see why he did what he did. I believe both Steve and Tony were justifiable in their actions and are at fault, although I will admit that I feel like Steve is a little bit more to blame, but there were so many of factors that lead to the break down of the Avengers. Of course the main one being that they don't properly talk to each other.

I agree with what you said about the whole thing not being black and white, because it certainly isn't.

    2. I know your comment was directed at the author but I thought I’d share my opinion on the whole Civil War and Siberia thing in case anyone was interested. Neither of those situations are simply black or white, with the Civil War and the Accords I would side more with Tony because when you screw up and people get hurt you need to be held accountable and Tony’s immense guilt would make him want to take responsibility for his actions. Steve on the other hand was acting like a petulant child and didn’t even bother to read the Accords or ask reasonable questions and just outright refused to even consider signing.
Siberia though was totally on Cap because even after everything that happened at the airport Tony still only wanted to talk to Cap and even when attacked he wasn’t using his full power since he didn’t want to kill Steve. Then Steve gets upset at Tony for having a natural human reaction to learning that everything he thought he knew about his parents deaths was a lie and that the man who killed his parents was standing right next to him,and also someone he considered a trusted friend had known all of this and choose to lie to him rather than talk it out. Than he continued beating down on Tony even when Tony couldn’t fight anymore. All because his precious Bucky was being threatened. Bucky is basically Steve’s kryptonite and if anyone even mentions Bucky he completely loses focus on anything that isn’t Bucky. So while during the airport battle neither party was completely in the wrong and neither was completely right,Siberia is 100% on Steve and he is damn lucky Tony didn’t die.
