I LOVE all of your descriptions of the characters using the Force to read the world around them.
Me, at the truism “There is no death, there is the Force:" 😠😠😠😠😠
I have a feeling that Catelyn vowing to always remember who destroyed her family is going to not end well? I've found Catelyn in this story to be so warm and maternal, so the fact that her hatred is tied to these things makes this promising even more menacing to me. Very much dreading the fallout from this and looking forward to see where you might take the character in this world.
And that devastating end when Brienne experiences the memories of the happy Starks.
Jaime might not have shown up physically in this chapter, but did Brienne sense him, even in the abstract? (Or am I just reading too much into it?)
Your comments make me so happy, here and on tumblr! I don't think I can tell you how much your support and enthusiasm means to me :)
And yeah, the Jedi Code is... well, it's something else, isn't it? Lately they seem to be trying to retcon it to "Emotion *yet* peace" which is 3000% better because it doesn't just DENY the existence of things like, you know, FEELINGS. But I remember the old days... oh yes... I remember....
As far as reading too much into things, please be my guest! I am very much of the "read into everything all the time" school of thought, even when I'm totally off-base XD I won't confirm or deny anything (probably, unless it's about a squick/trigger in which case I'll do my best) but I might say I wish I'd written a hint on purpose instead of by accident!
I'm so glad! Because you're basically fulfilling my dream of Jaime and Brienne with lightsabers. Disney+, for some reason, does not seem to want to hire Gwendoline Christie for her own Star Wars series after wasting her ... but I digress.
And this story is, again SO GOOD.
I'm all for the Jedi retcon because even in the original series, you could just tell there was a big conflict with "Trust your feelings" but also don't have feelings. And while I'm no fan of the prequels, well, I'm not surprised the Jedi Council fell. After the GoT finale, I actually went on this really long rant comparing the Kingsguard and Jedi Order somehow, and now I can't stop thinking about that. So I'm one hundred percent here for any Jedi Code critiques.
