I really like this. The political headspaces, the little worldbuilding details like the books and the glassblowing, Claude being a self-sabotaging goof, Edelgard being earnest and dorky yet also thinking she's more clever than she really is...I think you've got a good read on these characters and this plot! I'm excited to know where this all ends up, and of course wouldn't mind more cameos or OCs, you do a great job with all of them.
Claude should just straight drop his vilest, most toxic poison into Arundel's soup just for the lulz. We all know the fastest way to Edelgard's heart is through killing her uncle...
God wouldn't that just be dream? Unfortunately there would be a much shorter fic if that happened. Maybe some day :'(
