This chapter was so good! I really liked the interactions between Charlie and Alex, and how Alex seems really closed off towards everyone, so I'm guessing Charlie will have to put up some real work there to get through to him. The mentions of him being bullied at the beginning of the chapter really made me feel very sad, tho. Alex totally doesn't deserve that, and I want to protect him at all costs :(( it's no surprise he's so distrustful of everyone if this is how people treat him at school after everything.
Yeah, it was hard to write that part because I don't want Alex to hurt either. I think it is the 13RW effect because as I'm writing it is turning out more angsty than the teen movie that inspired it. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
