      Thank you for the encouraging words! I finished writing the next chapter last week. I work a retail job, so I've been really busy with the holiday shopping season and I haven't had much time to write. Unfortunately there's no way for me to post status updates on this site so it really seems like I've abandoned the work, hasn't it? The next chapter's finished, it's a doozy at well over 10,000 words long, and I just have to get it past my beta reader and I'll post it.

        Great! I have family members who work in retail jobs and was not thinking of it. I hate large crowds so just imagining working retail jobs makes me terrified! This is amazing work and wow 10,000 words! Holy cow!

          Yeah I went a little overboard on the new chapter. It never stops being engaging, though. Very action-packed the whole way through.
