So much to love in this chapter! Carmilla's mom literally laying out her life plan? Chilling. Laura in her righteous anger being 100% right yet still proving Carm's mother's point... Carmilla all but shutting down when faced with her mother... Dear, sweet Kirsch pointing out just how made for each other these two goofballs are... So great!
This chapter was fun as a set-up for our conflicts. Carmilla's mother was an interesting one to throw in because it gave me the challenge of a very particular brand of controlling over Carmilla that we don't always see. Laura, dear Laura, tends to put her foot in her mouth and we're going to see that come around. Carmilla has some serious growing to do. And dear puppy Kirsch is there to provide a touch of lightness <3
