    Oh no, haha, poor Ace - Luffy's logic broke him. I loved this. I loved Ace meeting Jack. The reaction to the news is so realistic. And the conversation when Usopp walked in - I had to read it again out loud to myself because it was so funny. I'm glad they could talk through the shock - I really like the dynamic you've chosen for Ace and Luffy, its very sweet and comfortable. Halfway through I realized that they really do seem like 'childhood friends to lovers' (in this story) only they declared they were brothers because well, that was what they needed at the time. I like the bit about how they are both scared when it comes to big changes in their relationship (Ace's confession, Jack) but they work it out together. Anyway, before this gets rambly...

    Very cute chapter. This story is developing so good!

      I absolutely adore your comment! I really put my heart and soul into this chapter to make it as realistic as possible because I really do love the dynamic between these two. I am beyond pleased that you get the angle that I was going for, as I actually based it off of personal experience in the matter, i.e: I fell in love with my bestfriend of almost a decade when we were 14, and we'd actually referred to each other as 'sister' pretty regularly before that. Why does puberty have to make everything so awkward??
