God this chapter is just really lovely, like I really feel for Dina and you wrote your panic attack really really well. I don't think it clicked the first time I read this but this is after Ellie finds out about the fireflies. I think I got the tape recorder mixed up with the walkman and thought she'd gone to the museum or it was something else. But holy fuck, no, this is the turning point in her and Joel's relationship.
Such a brilliant little thing to capture from Dina's perspective, one of the things I really like about how you wrote this week is how balanced it feels between showing by not over explaining? It's really well done!
