  1. I loved they way you wrote Mitsuri, I had so much fun reading that part and I think you really captured her essence, so sweet yet kinda mindlessly sincere haha

And oof Tanjirou speaking facts “Tough love without the love being clear is just abuse.” ;-; I’m glad this was said, unpopular opinion or not, I’ve seen many people dismiss that canon Sanemi-Genya relationship is abusive 😔

    Thanks for the update! 💕

    1. Mitsuri cracks me up bc all the other slayers have tragic backstories or broken families so that their motivation for joining the corps is smth like "I want revenge," or "I want to make it so that nobody has to go through what I went through." Meanwhile, her reason is "I want a man. 🥴"

I could go on and on about this, but I'm tired of people painting Sanemi's behavior as noble or funny. It's really not, especially when we have Kyoujurou and Senjurou as a healthy example for how to handle the "crappy father, lost mother, strong vs weak brother" situation. I understand why Sanemi behaves the way he does, but it doesn't mean I agree w it. He's not bad per se bc his actions do stem from love, but he's deeply flawed. What's irritating is that he undoubtedly sees this flaw and how it hurts Genya, but he chooses to uphold his act anyways. I dislike him for that, which sucks bc being a Genya fan means Sanemi becomes unavoidable. I do appreciate though that Sanemi's story is a brutal lesson about the price of being dishonest: if you love someone or something, then do so unabashedly because tomorrow's not guaranteed.
