    ohhh I've also had That Unwanted Animal stuck in my head since I watched that amv so I started cackling when I saw the fic title, knowing this was going to be good. And it is! Love the characterisation, especially of Hunter, but everyone, really. The little bit with Hunter trying to plant flowers for Willow was super cute <3
    Also at first i thought the note on how much Hunter eats was cute and a good detail since he's likely if not malnourished, at least undernourished, but now that we have kinda implied starving Belos I'm thinking this is also just Belos' hunger/inability to be sated expanding to make Hunter eat so much... eh I'm probably overthinking.
    But yeah, the way Belos is sneaking into Hunter's life is very well done. Hope these people will start having conversationsTM soon, but I also know it gets worse before it gets better. Do you have any plans to include what Gus saw in Belos' mind, and the wittebane statues in town? If so, I'm curious on your takes.
    Ohh, and Flapjack at the end of the chapter! He should know, or at least notice more on what's going on with Hunter and could provide valuable information when Hunter has blanks, bummer (or more like, conveniently for the angst) only Hunter can understand him! Hope the bird gets a petting session, he'll need it.
    Also love how you write Camila (she's so underrated!) and how her veterinarian knowledge helps her and her growing conflict with Luz vis a vis returning to the Boiling Isles. No one is doing okay and everyone is busy with their own stressors. Perfect recipe for disaster >:D
    So far, this is everything I'd want out of a post-S2 fic, good job!
    And also mad respect for writing so much in such a short time! I admire your stamina.

      hehe thank u so much!!!! i try not to use song titles for fic titles since i like using my own puns, but sometimes you come across a song SO GOOD that you can't come up with anything better, and that unwanted animal is that song for this fic. dont worry — what gus saw and the statues are already in the draft hehe :3
