Comment on with great power, there must also come great responsibility

  1. Wong isn't going to be happy. I don't think anyone will be happy, including Wanda.

I liked the show and I thought it had a lot of charm and was super wholesome but had a lot of weaknesses like all the other Disney+ shows. The first two episodes were fantastic but then the superhero plot started to catch up and the quality dropped. The Clandestines, Noor, and the Red Daggers were so boring which made the middle part of the show pretty boring for me. I loved the finale though! The Pakistan episodes were cool to see but it sort of felt like a Season 2 thing as I didn't like them that much compared to the Jersey City episodes because Kamala didn't have her supporting cast. Bruno, Nakia, Aamir, and Yusuf brought so much charm to the show and had great chemistry with Kamala that it was automatically better when they were there. The Clandestines and the Red Daggers didn't have the same chemistry with Kamala for me. I also wasn't a fan of the Prisoner of Azkaban time travel they pulled. And I'm Indian and my family lived through the Partition riots (they didn't migrate though) and some historical parts of Episode 4 weren't entirely accurate. Both the Indian and Pakistani subreddits, Instagram, and Twitter sort of exploded over Kamala's conversation she had with her grandmother because the show framed the Partition as a bad thing which some Pakistanis would argue against. It's a very complicated topic and it's shaped South Asia - it's a topic that makes me very angry. And obviously, the Partition in the show was heavily sanitized because it's Disney and they couldn't show the horrors of it because it was A LOT worse than it was shown. But besides that, I loved the music and the Bollywood references though! It was so surreal hearing South Asian music I know in a Marvel show and hearing Kamala's family speak Urdu! I know Hindi, but Urdu and Hindi are basically the same when spoken so it was funny hearing little phrases that I use every day.

Fun fact - Mohan Kapur, who plays Kamala's dad, does the Hindi dub for Doctor Strange.

I did! Those McDonalds set photos made me laugh. I can't believe Sylvie is working at McDonalds in the 70s but I am a little disappointed that we're back on Earth again though. I feel like there's too much Earth for a show about Asgardians.
