I have absolutely considered volunteering, however there are multiple reasons that I can't. The first is that in the recent past, when I've checked the lists of fandoms being recruited for, there haven't been any Gundam series listed. The second, more personal reason, is that I literally do not have the free time being a volunteer requires and likely will not for some time.
I have offered my input and been told it's under consideration, as stated. Anyone from the AO3 is welcome to contact me, though I'd prefer they make a post/open a dialogue to solicit opinions from the whole of users interested in the meta-fandom.
