Sorry that I missed tha last chapter. I like Galadriel and your characterization of her, but real life has been eating me. But I couldn't stay away from Maedhros and Elros.Since I'm usually the opinion that Elrond & Elros were too young to properly remember their parents, it is natural their foster parents have a greater role in their upbringing. Elrond is more subtle, but I always thought Elros strove after Maedhros. They have the same rough greatness in them. And the part with the braid is just cute, especially with the importance of hair in elven society. Even if I believe that Maedhros of all people would want to teach that hair is the only part of the body that actually grows back and you shouldn't obsess over it.
Oh, I understand real life being a pain! The great thing about stories is that they will always be there when you are ready to read them. I thank-you for dropping by anyway. :D
That said, the whole Maedhros and Maglor raising Elrond and Elros is one of my favourite parts of the Silmarillion period, so it was fun to give a little glimpse of it here. I totally see Elros taking more to Maedhros in my mind, and Elrond to Maglor. It just makes sense. That is an excellent point about the hair, too! I never thought about it that way for Maedhros. :)
