I remembered this fic and decided to reread it again on a whim even though I haven't been in the Oneshot fandom since 2020 (this chapter being entirely new to me and a pleasant surprise). I've already left kudos before and I wish I could do so again because I absolutely love how this is written. Your use of prose is mesmerizing and what I myself aspire to achieve in my own writing.
Your grasp of the characters is so good it feels like canon; like their mannerisms and speech feel entirely within what they'd do and say within canon of the world.
Lamplighter is always a real treat to read. Even with Kelvin only being actively present in two chapters, is he very intriguing— especially given how little canon characterization he even has, your interpretation and expansion of his character is so good and makes him feel more unique. Even the reader themself and Jay feel as though they fit seamlessly into the world.
I also really enjoyed the chapter featuring Kip, as it makes her feel much more complex in its expansion of the stress and problems she has to deal with and its tole on her that we really only get a hint of the extent to which she's cracking under such a burden in the solstice route (if memory serves, that is).
