      lowkey the svt fanfiction is hella not up to my usual standards as far as writing goes; the best I've seen are your stuff and then "MALL AU" lol. I used to really like kpop fanfiction and then I got into some HP and Naruto stuff and my standards kept getting higher and kpop fanfiction just didn't seem that great anymore, so thank you for restoring my faith in this whole fandom tbh XD

        it's funny you mention mall au. this sounds weird and maybe conceited but when i read it i felt like this might be what my readers experience when they read my stuff. (but the jumping in time isn't something i'd be able to handle as well as the mall au author.)

        i have no connection to naruto but i get what you mean about hp fanfics. there are so many that there are inevitably a lot of great ones and i've stumbled upon my fair share.

        it's always a matter of taste and what you want to get from a story, but i also don't feel like there's much kpop fanfiction that interests me. maybe i just need to get into exo. there seems to be a never ending avalanche of fics for those.

          Haha I'm flattered ^^ I definitely feel like the time skips are kinda glitchy but the writing is so funny and depressing at the same time I become the laughing while crying emoji

          As far as I know, the EXO fandom has a few good things, but like 90% of the stuff there is pairings and I don't ship much in there so yeah lol. I have a friend who writes EXO stuff that actually hits my standards every once in a while (chankoalayeol.tumblr.com), but most of the stuff she posts there is the stuff I don't like so idk; not too sure where she puts her longfic but her specialty is angst so rip my feels

            i also feel like the emphasis on pairing holds fanfics back a little. but it's not like anyone's forcing me to put meanie in everything.
            (that said, i'm kinda working on a meanie sex tape fic and it's partially your fault :p but i'm not sure i'll get it done, yet. this is somewhat new territory for me.)

              Yeah I think for kpop fanfiction it's true that pairings do hold back the plot a bit because people tend to focus on it so much, but I make a distinction between it and other fanfiction because generally for other fandoms, there's like a whole world to write on whereas kpop is literally just about the people so of course relationships are some of the things that're emphasized

              For Seventeen, I tend to enjoy like friendships more than romantic ships for the most part; meanie's super cute and I pretty hardcore ship Joshua and Jeonghan because they're so damn pretty, but the Mingyu and Woozi friendship that you write a lot actually got me to thinking about that and I really like it lol

                totally. i had the same problem back when i was reading one direction fanfics. the lack of a world to explore (even if its a mundane one, not some place like hogwarts) makes certain stories much harder.
                i read a single Mingyu/Jihoon ship fic i liked. other than that i prefer them as friends. they just have something so wonderfully contrasting about them.
