thank you, that's what I'm going for with the format--I stole it from a BTVS AU where the canon events were mostly the same--and I'm glad it's working out. And I'm glad that the antagonistic friendship is coming through, too, because I feel like I might be leaning too heavily into the antagonism? In my head, they are friends and have lots of cute moments and basically zero personal space; the fights are just more fun to write, since they move the relationship forward in a way that quiet moments generally don't.
