    Sure, but how can you say it’s an AU of a comic you’ve never read and don’t understand the premise of or the characters within it? It’s not an AU - it’s just its own thing with characters named after the original characters but not even based on them because you also lack the fundamental understanding of who those characters are supposed to be

      So I guess that also means are Titan’s Tower stories are not AUs , because they’re not based on the idea that Jason didn’t go to TT to kill or even get close to killing Tim. Which everyone can have their own opinion. Though I think the amount of blood needed to be able to write on a wall certainly doesn’t suggest him surviving was an intended outcome.

      But by that logic, all stories which have romantic relationships different from those in the comics are also not AUs because they’re not based on the comics.

      If you’re being picky about your fanfic then don’t read it. The whole point of fanfic is that it can be whatever you want, canon divergence and fix-it fics are literally considered GENRES in the fanfic community. And this story with this perspective on the characters is obviously what the author wants since they took the time to write it. 99% fic authors write the fic that they wanted to read. The fic wasn’t written for you therefore it’s not up to you what happens in it and you shouldn’t be getting mad over it in the comments. Don’t like it? That’s fine, there are literally thousands of other stories to go read if you just press the back button. It’ll take you 2 seconds, go read something else. The author wrote this with their own time and energy and had given you access to it for FREE.

      Don’t go throwing a fit over someone else’s hard work that you don’t like just for the sake of being mean.
