    I've had this fic in my WIP folder for such a long time, and the way I managed to get it out was by including Vanilla in this. She's got such a fresh and interesting perspective of Sonic's crew. . . and I've never seen or heard of anyone making her interact with Omega, so I thought I would solve that problem.

    I struggle with how the fandom treats Omega sometimes. They treat him as an absolutely clueless and annoying "little brother" figure sometimes, and that pisses me off so much. Of course his canon is basic and silly- EVERY sonic character's canon is basic and silly! That's the point! Yet Omega is rarely treated with the same seriousness that's afforded to other characters like Knuckles etc. At the same time though, Omega *is* a teenager- just as much as every other of Sonic's friends is, you know? So striking that balance was a fun challenge and something I thought about often in this fic.

    To be fair, my whole business model is just giving this robot character development, so. . .
