That is actually a really great point. FFNET moderation tools are.. Basically non-existent. So if someone went to look, there might already be a ton of spam!
Maybe they can record all the comments the day they take it down and publish it somewhere?
I don't know if AO3 is the right place for it, or not, but that would be great if they can be preserved. Perhaps as an appendix type entry separately from the other works?
I think the comment pages on ffnet can be archived on the wayback machine! I was bored a few months back and ran my ffnet account through the wayback machine and was (somewhat) pleasantly surprised that someone had archived most of the first few fanfics that I had uploaded to the site, especially since none of my fics were popular. I had deleted several of them a decade ago, so it was something to reread them and the reviews in 2024. If Eva was amenable, then the comments can be preserved that way, assuming someone hasn't done so already over the years.
