He’s just standing there, gayly, and everyone else is like 🏳️🌈? but thinks they’ll get Chaos Blasted into next week for asking. The biggest surprise about that scene for Sonic was Shadow actually having figured it out himself agjgkgghghghghhhh
And yeah!! Shadow is very much in the mindset of knowing that he could take literally whatever he does to himself, so has very little sense of self preservation. There’s probably also something to be said about self loathing (and whilst this was written a while before Dark Beginnings, Without You’s “I can't forgive the wrongs I’ve done you” in regards to not being able to save Maria feels very fitting here…) and not considering what he puts himself through actually a bad thing because one, this was what he was made for. Those scientists put him through tests to prove he could survive all of these things, so why should he protest doing those same kinds of tests, probably a little more erratically now though, since he is DEFINITELY not considering any kind of safe science practices, now?
Omega cares about like, three people, and one of those is just Eggman, who he only cares about because he absolutely DESPISES him. He likes wanton violence, but perhaps not wanton violence on Shadow lol
And yeah! Sonic’ll be the best shoulder to lean on he can be, and that’s why Shadow decided to let himself stay at all. Because maybe he does like getting the support, even if he won’t admit it
