I just started reading and it's pretty much what I wish had happened. Sure Shen Yuan cares for Luo Binghe but he never seemed 'in love'? The sex scenes were uncomfortable to read because Shen Yuan never seems to enjoy himself and is instead suffering through it and doing it for LBH, acting out as his husband but not enjoying it. I dunno why everyone else sees this and thinks 'wow romantic'? It feels like if Shen Yuan was too afraid of the consequences if he rejected LBH's love and so he just resigned himself to it, I much prefer the chapters with Liu Qingge where he seems to show interest for SQQ.
YES!!! Those sex scenes were one of the (many) shovels of dirt that killed bingqiu for me I've read a lot of hot scenes and those didn't even seem like romanticized scenes, let alone something that seemed consensual or even romantic, so for me that relationship would only lead to the point I put in this fic My friend usually says that most people are affected by LBH's protagonist halo and that's why they find the bingqiu scenes super romantic 🤣🤣🤣🤣 or they simply pass it off because LBH is handsome and has a cool design and because Shen Yuan "says he agrees with everything" (which is the case of another friend of mine who is a huge fan of LBH and bingqiu)
