If Link had seen someone else helping Ravio, he definitely wouldn't have returned. You're right—they're only making it worse for each other at this point. But Link would deteriorate further and likely never return home if he had seen just how badly Ravio was doing, and if he had seen someone else helping him—and succeeding at doing so, when Link himself had only made things worse (unintentionally).
Me too! Ravio deserves to heal after all this just as much as Bunny does. I'm so excited to keep writing both of their healing arcs <3
