    I loved reading this, it's interesting to see their roles kinda reversed? With zeb being the one to accept they can be left behind. It's like, they're both not really concerned for their life but so furious when the other does or says something that would imply they're fine with dying? (Not sure i'm explaining it clearly, the way you write them just makes me feel things)
    I like how you sneaked in worrisome details that kallus would not notice, like feeling hot or mumbling speech and I love how kallus just has to have the last word, even when he's slowly dying in the cold xd
