Yes, that’s kinda the idea I have in mind for the Scan feature. Basically a buffed version of the check feature with some nods to Command Mission that normally only works on Mechanaloids, but it’s gotten some use now because the local ghost child decided to tag along for the ride. Though they aren’t gonna be showing themselves physically, just observing Axl’s progress and giving a few narration bits here and there.
No I have not yet, I’ve heard a lot of it but I do plan on possibly watching a playthrough of Red and Yellow. Sadly Clover won’t be tagging along but several characters may be getting cameos and or little references (As seen with Scaravich so far and that little FUN event I snuck in. Those have been expanded as well. I won’t likely be able to cover them all in this story alone.
Hint at the mention of Irregular data, these guys act as a secondary Goner type NPC that appears in the 70s range. They do make reference to the Goners but most of them speak of an NPC called “The Observer”, whom does appear in person should the FUN value be 77 (with a 77% chance). Another character known simply as “The Administrator” is mentioned, but never encountered (Like Gaster, they, too are always watching). All of these guys are implied to be from the Deep Log and are a part of a separate story.
Even Gaster isn’t aware of these guys, but they are sure aware of him.
Also glad you like the silly headcannon, since our favorite mechanic guy hasn’t been getting enough attention officially, he deserves a mention every now and then.
