    I'm absolutely in love with the way you're writing this story! It's great that you're tackling this from the angle of if they really didn't remember anything after waking up. We truly are seeing the Ultimate Despairs as they were before the simulation and how they'll heal now that Junko is gone and they have the support they need. It's a much more difficult road than just handing them all their memories from the start. This is an especially unique way to go about writing Izuru. A ton of stories tend to sideline his part in Hajime's psyche but here he's up front and center. The only difference is that he's gained Hajime's empathy and care.

    Speaking of that, I also appreciate how you write each survivor of both the first and second games so differently. Naegi doesn't have the same mutual understanding with Izuru as Kirigiri, Kirigiri doesn't have the same openness as Asahina, Asahina doesn't have the same unwavering trust in Izuru as Alter Ego, etc. Similarly, the way Izuru us reacting isn't the same as Fuyuhiko or Kazuichi or Sonia. I particularly like detail like how Kazuichi still has a childish hope in him that the others don't. Things like that really get me invested and interested in each and every character.

      I thought it made sense seeming as the game itself said that the program would be ended without completing (even though the game does sort of contradict that right after). It's fun getting to write them as actual despairs - even if there are some changes.

      Hajime/Izuru is a character near and dear to my heart so I'm glad you appreciate my take on him. (Although since I don't normally read these kinds of fics I didn't realise this was a different take until people were telling me in comments 😂).

      It's heartwarming hearing you say that about the characters. I am always worried they become too samey and I did my best to distinguish everyone. It obviously gets harder the more characters become a part of the story but I'm glad at least the start shows each character clearly
