    She definitely doesn't understand the value of her money. That was probably the annual salary for every employee in that restaurant. Combined. For the next 10 years. She could have accomplished what she was intending with a medium silver or two. No wonder the waitress was willing in spite of them not supposed to be doing that anymore.

      The value of those golds in DnD are about a weeks stay and half a barrel of ale. Despite both worlds using golds there is a huge difference in their buying power.

        Does that mean they're going to have to worry about a potential market crash if they continue to trade with the dnd world.

        not to mention adamantine, mithril, new magic items spell casters, and highly active and interested pantheons who can Grant magic powers to commoners who have vast population with untapped faith.

        And finally you have the very terrifying possibility of not being able to seal off the world if a spellcaster with the gates spell shows up fortunately they'd probably won't have to worry about that for a while ( dimensional tuning forks allow casters with plane shift to do the exact same thing.)

          It's more like the currency doesn't convert 1-1. Australian dollars and US dollars are both dollars but 100 AU$ = 66 US$

        I guess that just explains how troublesome balancing between worlds are. I do remember spice and sugar costed a fortune when Ahrensbach imported them from Lanzenave in canon so it's understandable

        I had also played around that in my 80k gold crossover where Mitsuha basically sold items worth few cents for silver coins in Alexandria. Guess it's all about offers, demands and needs

            It's a light novel series and the 8th volume just came out a couple weeks ago in English. The anime only covered the first couple volumes. And it just kept getting more and more wild.
