Comment on Fury of the Ox-Queen

  1. Love this story so much. So happy to see it back.

Love that Ox King is such a good dad. It's too bad we don't see it happen in the anime anymore, In fact Ox never spends time with Chi-Chi or any grandkids in Post Buu saga. Hell we never saw Ox and Goten share any screen time. That needs to be fixed.

I don't mind there's no action in the story yet, in fact one of the biggest things why I love Dragonball was because of the slice of life moments or characters bonding with each other. I'm glad we share the same ideas.

Bulma has alot of growing up to do but I love she becoming a good friend to Chi-Chi. I get the feeling they both needed this. :)

SI Chi-Chi's thoughts and feelings about her/his old life really got to me. I have a big family too but sometimes I have a hard time connecting with them and when I do, they're very busy with their lifes and I barely have a social life. I find it relatable and connect with this Chi-Chi.

Chi-Chi's feelings regarding taking a life was very impactful. It's something that's barely talk about with the Z-fighters in Dragonball. How do they feel taking a life and how do they deal with it?

Obviously they need talk about it and provide comfort with each other. Because life is sacred but sometimes taking a life is necessary when it threatens innocent lifes.

I do hope the story goes into things the series might not have had the chance to cover with out being even longer then it was. Such as the fact that even a happy-go-lucky goof like Goku would have been so effected by what happened on Namek that even he might have developed some PTSD for what seems like the first time in his part I get. It was the first time Goku had really met a true, pure evil, as well as the changes it caused to himself. I also always imagined Goku would have been unhappy with the change he'd seen the SSJ cause in him during his fight with Freeza. Goku always liked being in control when fighting. He wouldn't have liked giving himself over to a rage that could blind him to who was friend, who was foe. Even in the series, he worked for a long time to not only make the SSJ more natural and easier to activate, but also to the point where going Super Saiyan barely changed his personality anymore, and he could walk around in it, and besides the blue eyes and blond hair, you wouldn't have known anything had changed, unless he was actually in a fight. And, if you still ever read these anymore...interesting canon info that has come to light since some of Toiyama's later works...Goku's gentle side might be more natural to him then anyone would have thought, and once he lost his memories of the 'directive' to destroy Earth, it was allowed to become his default setting. Turns out his mother Gine was a bit of an odd Saiyan. She was a gentle soul who didn't seem to posses the aggressive nature the other Saiyans thought of as normal. It interfered with her work enough that after a time, she retired from being a warrior, and would merely wait for Bardock to return from his trips. Over time, it seems she'd actually started to strike changes in Bardock's nature as well, who had already had a strong sense of companionship with his squad, making him softer as well. Where most Saiyans didn't seem to care much about losing their fellows, Bardock was actually distraught when he had found his team ambushed and all killed, especially his best friend, Toma. Both Bardock and Gine were kind of odd for typical warrior class Saiyans. It was pointed out that they had developed a rare bond with each other, where it was more typical for those in Saiyan society to merely mate for offspring, then go their separate ways. So, who Goku became when he lost the memories and drive for his mission may have started with his parents.

Where I'm going with this is that obviously the Z-fighters are going to face battle that are brutal and traumatizing like Goku's death. If the Z-fighters become a team as a family, there can be times where they lean on or be a source of comfort with each other. I honestly don't know how the Z-fighters dealt with their friends deaths and the situations they get involved in through out the series even if it was temporary. I refuse to believe the Z-fighters didn't suffer some form of PTSD.

Don't ever think that you made a mistake. Choosing Chi-Chi for reincarnation is the best creative decision you have ever made.

I can't wait for the Dragon team to meet Master Muten Roshi. This is....going to be hilarious.
