    I'm gonna be real, the story was enjoyable but I just do not get Jaune continuing to put up with Weiss. It's pretty clear Weiss needs Jaune way more than Jaune needs Weiss. I want to try playing the middle man and say they both have issues but let's be real, Jaune's issues begin and end at Weiss verbally berating him, while Weiss is an honest to God schizoid that calls 15 year olds whores and screams about dicks in public like a maniac.

    And yeah Jaune gives in and starts yelling as well, but... cmon. Dude has been subjected to getting mentally berated by an enraged schizo 24/7 for a decade and just had them straight up lie and try spreading rumors about him that aren't even based in reality. Regular people would've snapped long before this story even began, and he's a PTSD riddled war machine. He's earned a far better crashout than the ones he's given.

    Jaune's biggest flaw in this was continuing to go out of his way to interact with Weiss besides the bare minimum and willingly having sex with her. Honestly the moment Weiss realized he wasn't an adulterous scumbag and tried telling him she'd "make it up to him" he should've just told her she can make it up to him by never interacting with him again. Weiss shouldn't be dating and despite being written as a burned out dilf always on the verge of hate sex this Jaune felt borderline AroAce when he wasn't going through the baby boomer "married people abuse each other and have sex" comedy routine.

    Because lets be real, this Jaune gave ZERO fucks about Weiss questioning his fidelity and his loyalty to the point where it started to read like neither thing was something he even knew he was supposed to care about. Even when they were signing the papers Jaune acted like his minecraft GF was taking half their diamonds and emeralds that he spent a few hours mining for. He reads less like an old married man that's been through the ringer and more like an aromantic workaholic that was told married people are forever roommates you have sex with.
