Sihtric was sent to a small settlement not far from Coccham to fetch some supplies for the coming winter. Trouble ensues and he strikes the Lord's son in an alehouse brawl. Uhtred has hoped that the day would never come, but he was recognized by the Danes there as Kjartan's Bastard. Dunholm's Slave. He was sworn to Uhtred and he had to be claimed by him, or he will be lost to them forever.
