But, the euphoria drifts.
The flower loses the scent.
Ice flows down his cheeks as her hand falls to caress his face. He knows her hand has fallen. He knows he will be killed.
He knows he is sand, again.
He knows he is only going to be sand.
Once their rushed feet meet him, the sand will be washed away.
Again.
And again.
Flowers do lose scent.
“I thought you loved me. I thought that my scent was strong. I thought that I meant something to you.”
Her head falls- why he wishes he could wipe the ice falling from her eyes.

And when she steps away, he feels his heart being stabbed to death with needles- her love was lost, and his trust was broken.
Her flowers’ scent, was gone.
