Summary
Vulpixer's prompt "One of my favorite things is imagining the character's background and how it would shape them. Even though Shepard is a charismatic badass, I've wondered if it could ever just be a really good act. What if they're extremely shy and introverted, and they were "highly encouraged" to join the Alliance."
Portrait of a Shepard who is by temperament and choice...a straight arrow of a nerdy person, introverted and shy, working hard to maintain a persona of fire breathing force of nature.
Starts in ME1, AU afterward, Shepard inspiring changes in path and personality in others, which changes the galaxy. Shakarian with Thane insisting on 'it's really complicated' Shrios.
"Of Kittens and Broken Things" narrated on YouTube Me narrating with my husband providing the voice for Garrus. Huge thanks to KuraiUmmei who provided cover art and the voice of EDI and Irikah!

Summary
My version of Thane with one critical alteration to his timeline. He’s evil. Non-consent AU using the characters and plot from my story “Of Kittens and Broken Things.” Who would Thane be with all his energy directed toward selfish pursuit? Who would Thane be if he had a moment of seeing Shepard as Siha and did not follow her, but took her for himself? Portrayal of a brilliant Shepard not only challenged by the greater problems of the galaxy but by Thane intent on keeping her.
Spoiler alert for “Kittens.” Concept in the notes.
All Thanes were hurt in the making of this story.

Summary
Silly story based on the prompt from Vulpixer: "Remember Niftu Cal, the drugged up Volus who thought he was a Biotic God? What if the crew was dosed up and had the same mindset? Biotic Gods, Superheroes/Villains, etc. Any crew member(s). Crack is more than welcome."
Based on my characters from "Of Kittens and Broken Things." This takes place somewhere silly on the timeline beyond chapter 38, reflecting events of the story up to that point and attitudes of the afflicted.

Summary
It's been a while since I finished writing "Of Kittens and Broken Things" and "Broken Thing" but the characters are part of my daily life in many ways so I have ongoing conversations with Garrus, Cara and Thane in his iterations. As a warning, this summary and the notes will have some spoilers for both of those stories, so if you haven't read them it'll result in "WHY DID YOU TELL ME THAT?" and if you haven't read them, trying to read this piece without context will result in "What the fuck is going ON here?" This piece is a requested prompt from the persona of Rin from "Broken Thing," who feels cheated of what he wanted to originally accomplish. Chapter 14 threw his plans into complete disarray and he never got the real chance to seduce his Lirya the way he wanted. We've been arguing about this for a while. He feels unfairly injured, to which I reply - That was the nature of the prompt. I also made you a God. Get over it. He is not over it. (Continued in notes)

Summary
This is bonus content for "Of Kittens and Broken Things" - so spoiler alert if you haven't read it. The timeline should be between Chapter 75 and 76, within a few weeks after Chapter 75. I'm re-recording this series for YouTube and it occurred to me that I could add some stuff that I wanted to hear, that I've been thinking about.
At the end of the series, a lot of time is skipped and transitions are made unseen. Drala'tem and Senar have a lot of potential gaps in how transition was achieved and what was said and done that I wanted to clarify. There's a lot going on with these two and since it's all first person, I found myself on review thinking "Wait... what... exactly happened between A and B, not to mention Q, R and S?" I figured they'd work it out and I got to the 'worked out' spot, but a quote from Leo Tolstoy occurred to me often when writing this story: 'All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.' In this context, Garrus and Cara attained 'happy' somewhere about 3/4 of the way through the story and they stay that way because they'd earned it. They were conflict resistant. (Continued in notes)

Summary
This is an inadvisedly darkly romantic alternate universe of my Mass Effect piece "Of Kittens and Broken Things" after Chapter 13 that became "Broken Thing" and now I'm splitting off from that after Chapter 1 because my hand slipped for a month or so. Spoiler alerts for both of those pieces. Read "Of Kittens and Broken Things" up to Chapter 13 and "Broken Thing" up through Chapter 1 to understand the plot setup for this.
You can read it without reading those, but there might be a big percentage of clueless "What is going on here?" that may or may not be relieved by reading those pieces. Senar and Cara live in the 'what is going on here?' space.
There's terminology, lore and mythology from other pieces of my work describing Thane's background so I'll put some setup spoilers and new/old words in the notes.
This is the result of Senar rapping "shave and a haircut" on my brain's door for a while with me unwilling to give the final two knocks until he had come up with something really good to justify my hand slipping. Again.
Here's a word from "Delicate Subject" that does not show up in this story except in spirit. Turian word - Invas'nam - A truth held so close to the heart that the tongue cannot reach.

Summary
This is a continuation of the story "Of Kittens and Broken Things" from an idea generated in the chapter "Trial and Error" where Drala'tem and Senar imagine what they would do with time travel.
This is what they would do. First they had to create time travel. That took up a lot of time.
This is an AU, reading "Of Kittens and Broken Things" first would be recommended.
