Summary
Following the events of the wardance, Feixiao and Jiaoqiu face their regrets now that they've managed to make it out of the madness. While Jiaoqiu takes comfort knowing that he had at least survived the ordeal, Feixiao has more more immediate concerns, one especially involving Jiaoqiu and his presence in her life.

Summary
Feixiao's thumb trailed over the cut in Jiaoqiu’s right ear again, just as his orange eyes trailed over the long V-shaped tear in her left ear.
“Wouldn't you know it, General, we match now.”
He had said after the battle when he initially tended to the wound, still freshly red with blood back then.
She laughed, “I suppose it was bound to happen eventually.”Jiaoqiu sees Feixiao's scars as admirable, but utterly despises his own. As much as Feixiao wishes she could convince him not to have such hatred towards his own body, she knows no amount of reassurance will change what he believes. Rather than try and change his mind, she offers him all of the comfort that she can give.
