Summary
“Come on, Finnick. You’re seventeen years old for crying out loud. You should be here. Not living with those victors who aren’t even part of this community. You belong here, not in some Capitol-funded house with strangers.”
“I’m a victor too. I’ve killed people —“
“When you were fourteen years old! It’s different.”
I set the salt shaker down and glare at him.
“People are saying awful things. They’re saying you’re more Capitol than District now. That you’ve slept with who knows how many—“
He cuts himself off, too ashamed to finish the sentence. His next words come in a whisper.
“But I always tell them I know you. I know my son. You know what I see when I look at you? I see your mother. Your eyes...”
“I hate my eyes,” I mutter it almost to myself and am surprised to realize I’ve spoken out loud. “That’s what they all say. That they love my eyes. My hair. My skin.”
“Finnick. What you’re doing. No one’s forcing you, right? You’re willing—“
“I like the Capitol, dad,” I say quickly. “It doesn’t smell like fish, the buildings aren’t falling apart, there’s always enough to eat. Your friends don’t show up dead on the beach.”

Summary
I won the Hunger Games once.
They called me a Victor, but I know better. The Capitol took everything from me, my family, the boy I loved, even the right to call myself alive. I tried to disappear into the quiet: the bottle, the piano, the years between Games.
But you can’t hide from the world when it’s burning.
Then came a girl on fire, a spark that refused to die. And somewhere between her defiance and the Quarter Quell, I remembered what it felt like to fight back.
This is my story.
From the day I was reaped to the day the war ended.
From a blood-soaked arena to the long silence after the reveloution.Because in the Hunger Games, there are no winners.
Only survivors.(68th games-Epilogue in Mockingjay)

Summary
There is an indefinite loneliness in being the daughter of a victor, coupled with so much expectation. It doesn't matter that the sea is stained red each year. Her place in it is obvious.
Ceres Osprey's plans are simple: volunteer for the Hunger Games, win, and become something beyond a legacy.
But in the throes of the 65th Hunger Games, Finnick Odair, her greatest adversary and only friend, being reaped and consequentially winning was not part of these great plans.
Her hand is stayed for his sake, because they share a similar loneliness.
Promises are made.
But as the sun rises on the 68th Hunger Games' reaping, Ceres forgets her promises. She knows how to play the game and to survive, but it isn't about her.
This time, it isn't about winning.
Some legacies are greater than others, even if it means her blood spills for it.
This spans in parts from the 58th to prominently the 68th Hunger Games.

Summary
Seventeen-year-old Calliope Lorde never believed the odds were in her favor. In the arena, survival meant becoming something else entirely — a siren with a voice that could lure and a beauty that could deceive. She wins the 68th Hunger Games, but victory comes with a cruel truth; some fates are worse than death.
Callie still hears the screams. Still sees the blood beneath her nails. Haunted by the faces of the lives she’s taken, and bound to a Capitol that refuses to let her go. Behind her seductive smile and confident attitude is a girl who lives a waking nightmare, sold to Capitol elites at President Snow’s command and silenced by the very crowd that cheers her name.
When survival depends on silence, love becomes a rebellion, every stolen kiss is a risk they cannot afford. Because in Snow’s world, the only thing more dangerous than defiance is hope.

Summary
In the 68th Hunger Games, no one expected Sofia Wren Flores to survive. She was hardly seventeen, soft-spoken, and far too gentle for the Capitol's arena, she volunteered for her older sister and vanished into a battlefield of mirrored trees and illusion, where the sky was always beneath your feet and nothing was ever what it seemed.
They only clearly saw her twice. Once, holding the dying boy from her district, singing a song no Capitol camera could forget. And once at the end, alive. Victorious. No one knows how she survived—not even the Capitol.
To Finnick Odair, she was everything he couldn't say. To Haymitch Abernathy, she was the daughter he'd never get to raise. To Snow, she was the ghost of Lucy Gray—proof that some women don't die, they disappear.
She was called the girl of glass—the glass victor. And no one ever caught her.
Because Sofía Flores had already gotten away. And none of them knew how to catch their very own reflection.

Summary
Cordelia Halloran’s story from being reaped for the 68th Hunger Games to experiencing the Revolution in Panem, and the relationships she forms with Finnick, Mags, Annie, Johanna, and more over this time period.
This story is canon compliant and holds a mixture of angst and soft moments between both the canon characters and original characters. The title is a reference to what Effie said when promoting Katniss and Peeta to the Capitol.
Alternatively:
How a person can go from a tribute to a victor. A victor to a mentor. A mentor to a victim. And a victim to a rebel. A tale of friendship, love, and so much loss, told through the eyes of a girl from District 4. Are the odds ever truly in your favour? -

Summary
Haymitch's daughter gets Reaped for the 68th Hunger Games.
---
A warm hand suddenly placed itself on my clothed lower back and I instantly spun around, on edge, grabbing the hand.
“Well, if you wanted to hold my hand so badly Miss Abernathy, you could’ve just asked.” A deep cocky toned voice filled my ears and I was met with turquoise eyes gazing into mine with a bright grin plastered across pink soft lips and an annoyingly chiselled jaw.
“Finnick Odair.” I observed, standing in front of me with an aura of charm surrounding him. I dropped his hand until he snatched it back up to press a gentle kiss over my silk gloved one. Snatching my hand back I scowled, “touch me again and you won’t have that hand next time.”

Summary

Sometimes you consume media so much it seeps into your subconscious. And sometimes you absorb so much of it through cultural osmosis that you also dream about it.
Maybe you need to get off TikTok and touch grass.
Or: MC knows nothing about the Hunger Games except conversations with friends, Cinemasins & Cinemawins (and other such YouTube videos) TikTok edits and deep dives and that's actually a lot but not enough to really succeed.
Whoops.

Summary
Ondine Beaumont had become a household name ever since the 67th Hunger Games, when the Capitol mourned the loss of her brother — a golden boy they adored for his chivalry, his charm, and most of all, his allure. His death was a tragedy, yes, but only so far as it wounded their appetites.
Because his identity ceased to matter the moment his younger sister — equally beautiful, yet twice as captivating — was left behind for the Capitol to discover and devour. To this day, Augustus Braun’s District 4 victory tour remains one of the most replayed broadcasts in all of Panem. Not for the victor, but for the girl: orphaned, trembling, and yet so heartbreakingly beautiful, framed by her brother’s face on the screen behind her like a ghost she couldn’t outrun.
It was Finnick Odair who helped her gather the pieces after her brother’s death — not knowing that, in doing so, he placed her directly beneath Snow’s gaze. Their closeness was quiet, tender, a kind of mourning all its own. But it trespassed the boundaries Snow had drawn around his victors — lines meant to isolate, never to bind.

Summary
"All the world's a stage,/And all the men and women merely Players/They have their exits and their entrances,/And one man in his time plays many parts,/His Acts being seven ages."
Maren Epirius had taken her grandmother's old plays for granted. Their tales of royalty, love, and betrayal had barely reached her as she buried her nose in needlework and District Six's engineering textbooks. But as she's thrown into a life beyond the railway, among the exorbitant wealth of the Capitol, those plays become more relevant to her life than she ever could've imagined.
As she uncovers decades-old secrets buried in the fabric of Panem, she resolves to perform her role in this modern play to perfection. All in the hope that she is the illustrious playwright, not the tragic hero.
----Antigone Cadmus is hungry. Her insatiable want for glory is at its peak as she reels from her father's death. Interning alongside the Gamemakers, she's close to achieving what she’s always wanted. But as she discovers not all is what it seems with her family, she must ask: can she continue to play the role of a perfect Capitolite ? And in taking action, will she find what she's longing for?
