Summary
Life on the moor is hard. The prey runs faster than the wind itself and without any trees to shield them from the weather every cat bears the brunt of it. Life out there isn’t meant for any cat, it’s meant for Windclan cats.
Needlepaw is a young, scrappy apprentice sick of being ordered around. She doesn't feel appreciated by her clanmates and hates their high and mighty attitude. After being taken away by an owl and fighting her way back to her clan, only to find they'd already sat vigil for her, she vowed to never rely on any warrior in her clan, to look out for herself. Yet she yearns for connection, for kin.
When a power-hungry tom promises her stability and belonging, Needlepaw will do anything to ensure she gets what she wants, even if it costs her everything she has.
