“Faye, then." He amended himself arduously, "You will take her place.”Sarah Williams has moved on from the trials of the Labyrinth. She's become a mother, and the Goblin King is the farthest thing on her mind until her daughter Faye makes an impulsive wish to be far from home. Sarah follows her daughter back to Jareth's Labyrinth, and she must find her before Faye solves the Labyrinth herself and becomes trapped in Jareth's realm to wed one of his three sons. Sarah was making a flower crown under an oak tree. It looked like an oak tree so she assumed as much. Gently weaving the stems of the daisies over one another. She finished and put her masterpiece on her head.
"I could give you a real one," Jareth said coming from behind her. Sarah stayed turned and answered:
"I'd rather pretend." Her reply held some snide but was altogether true. Jareth scoffed. "Such a childish thing to say."
"I just turned twenty-six," she said whipping around to face him. A smile spread on his lips at her determined face. He loved goading her.
"Then what does that say of your maturity?"
"You're one to talk," she said with a twinkle in her eye. "You dance around with goblins and rebuild your labyrinth like tinker toys."
"I don't even know what tinker toys are. I'm not down here with all the dirt to talk about maturity with you." Sarah rolled her eyes and stood up.
"No."
"I haven't even asked!" He threw his arms in the air as Sarah walked away, dropping them in defeat and shaking his head in disbelief.
